There's always "used" via Amazon Warehouse. These 30lb dumbbells are $18-19 ea in vg/ln condition (very limited quantities of course).

This certainly isn't the best deal of all time but it's the best I've seen recently. I bought a pair. FB marketplace and Craigslist are ridiculous. Even shops around here that sell "closeout deals" from closed gyms are asking $1.50+ per pound for used beat up iron dumbbells, even more for rubber coated ones.

Give it time, all those suckers who bought thinking it was the end of the world are going to start selling their equipment that's when you scoop it up
It will be a phased effect, pretty much microeconomics 101.
The losers who picked up MASSIVE quantities have already started unloading gym related equipment for close to pre-pandemic prices. The individual guy who paid $2-3/lb and is now back at a commercial gym is going to hold onto his equipment for longer than usual because of the emotional connection to the money spent.

Occasionally free on local "buy nothing" groups.
