It's really no big deal to register for the Lifetime Service Agreement and it's all done online: https://register.ridgidpower.com/

Where some people get into trouble is not doublechecking after a few weeks to make sure it went through correctly. But even if it doesn't, it is super easy to rectify through their online chat or an email.

It's a standard 3-year warranty if you don't register for the LSA.

I have so many batteries and chargers, I really only need the bare tool. Do any of you price trackers know how low the bare tool can get from HD or direct tools?

Pretty weak. With mine I have to loosen the lug bolts first using a breaker bar. They're only tightened to 80 ft-lbs Confused

Says 620 ft-lbs break away torque

Try using an Octane battery on it. I think I just saw a video showing it as the most powerful cordless 1/2" impact with a 3ah Octane battery but only about half the performance with a 2ah traditional pack.

Yes it could be the battery. But it should still loosen the bolt/nut at half the power. I may have gotten a defective one from homedepot. Will try to use the lifetime warranty ugh
