Unless this is for your backyard I think you all would have been much better off spending another $6 or so. The amount of rope run through the ends looks very bulky. We have 3 hammocks that we use to camp and the kids usually put them up in the backyard quite a bit as well. I think the most we've spent is $25. Things to look for are quality straps with heavy duty stitching in the adjustability points and then it's typically one singular rope through each end of the hammock. You should be able to pack the hammock and straps in the small stuff sack. My son is in scouts and he keeps one in his ruck full time so weight is another factor.

Can be 8 feet but it is more comfortable with 10 feet. I just got my second hammock for my pergola. It is so tempted at this price
What's it like having 2 trees that close together?

Do your light weight hammocks hold two people and have a weight rating of 660Lbs?

To drastically prolong hammock life, YOU NEED TO KEEP IT FROM GETTING WET! We have a synthetic woven fiber ( like a backpack fabric) that is 10+ years old and still going strong, paid $75 for it but it will outlast cheap ones and probably save you in long run. I suppose for bring this on the occasional camping trip would be a good buy!

Not to mention it's webbing is connected directly to the hammock and looks like it is a potential failure point. screw the hanging straps go to your local hardware store and get coated chain for a few bucks with a heavy-duty carabeaner that can easily click unclick from your support.

I've bought 8 hammocks from amazon, all different brands, didn't pay more than $15 for any of them. Some of them are going on 5 years old now. I have had zero issues with any of them. Not to say I don't agree with you, but I don't think you need to spend $75 to get a quality hammock. It is important to note the material of this one (cotton/polyester blend). I personally wouldn't go with this one because of the fabric. All of the hammocks that I have are nylon and they're quite durable. The MOST IMPORTANT part of the hammock I've learned is the STRAPS. Get some good sturdy straps with tons of loops for easy adjustment. Personally I've found it's cheaper to buy a good hammock deal and get the straps separate. Every hammock I've purchased there's plenty of room to add the straps to the hammock stuff sack.

Same! I don't even have any trees that it'll fit between. But I'll have it whenever I buy a stand so... Probably still a good idea, yeah?

Just be careful with cotton/polyester ones: we had one on our deck and it developed mold stains by being exposed to the elements all summer. Not even bleach was able to get rid of those stains. It still works well, but it doesn't look that great anymore, even though we've washed it (power washed it) a few times and it's clean. I switched to nylon ( https://www.target.com/p/sierra-d...nk=sametab ) and haven't had this problem since.
