Product Overview
The Milwaukee 21-piece Thunderbolt Black Oxide Drill Bit Set offers convenience and heavy-duty performance on the job site. These drill bits are designed for extreme durability and long-life. The Thunderbolt web features a thicker core to provide ultimate strength and protect against side-load breakage. Corrosion resistant coating provides lubricity and resists the corrosion of the tip. A specially designed parabolic flute form clears chips fast, while the 3-Flat Secure-Grip shank holds the drill bit firmly in the drill chuck. The 135° split point tip delivers a precision start and prevents walking for fast, accurate holes. The Milwaukee Thunderbolt Black Oxide bits are effective for drilling on curved surfaces and require less effort to drill through metal, wood and PVC. The set comes in a durable carry case and includes bit sizes two 1/16 in., two 5/64 in., 3/32 in., 7/64 in., two 1/8 in., 9/64 in., 5/32 in., 11/64 in., two 3/16 in., 13/64 in., 7/32 in., 15/64 in., two 1/4 in., 5/16 in., 3/8 in. and 1/2 in.

You're kidding, right? These are *Milwaukee* drill bits! Right off the bat , you get extra trademarked features you won't find anywhere else. I just checked, and these are THUNDERBOLT™ bits, with 3-Flat Secure-Grip™ shanks. You always get more trademarks with Milwaukee ™
You get a nice red Milwaukee case. Like getting a Birkin bag. Can refill with junk bits but still look fly.

I can only get it to show the $12.88 price when I open an incognito tab but then even when I go to check it out it changes the price back to $29. Any other tips?

Zip code?
Sorry, didn't know it was varying store to store and anyone would need a zip code. 35801, 21042, and 46032 currently show $12.88, and a couple others I'm around often show the normal $29.47. I didn't even know my submission had been accepted, so I didn't see this question. But I'm glad the community was able to help each other out!

Nice case and decent price. But it this any better than Craftsman sets priced approx the same. What do you think?
Link to the Craftsman set? Probably identical performance and life tbh. Both should be quality standard, general purpose bits. Good but not amazing and not the "last set you'll ever buy" for most people. At roughly half the price of the smaller 14 piece set, I thought it was a great price, and sets this size are perfect to toss in tool bags or vehicles. If they get lost or grow legs, not a big deal.

I actually prefer their old cases with the sliding latch, but it feels more durable than an old one I have. Really only complaint about the box is it's bulky. At 2" thick, it's probably designed to match up with something in the Packout line, but it takes up a good bit more space than my 10-15 year old 15 piece set in one of my bags.

Only this case already comes with junk bits made in China.... Don't even think about drilling much steel, or ANY type of hardened steel. The Milwaukee Shockwave impact ready are a little better with the titanium coating, but not even as good as DeWalt's cheapest.

For an economical Chinese bit that holds up well [youtube.com], search for the DeWalt DWA1184 series... And since he tested the black oxide like the OP Milwaukee are, the titanium coated in same model number are even better. Here is the 14pc set [homedepot.com], but they go up to 21pc and more.

PS: We use Hanson and Triumph drill bits that we buy direct, but when on a job site and need a bit, the DeWalt will get you by.

For mild and spring steel, the Craftsman CMAM2214 are better bits.... not sure which ones you are looking at.

Just watch the video.... [youtube.com]and if not sure which model, go down to the link section and check the model from the seller.

If you need more 1/2" bits that will fit an impact or drill, Lowes has their CRAFTSMAN 1/2-in x 6-in Titanium Twist Drill Bit [lowes.com] discounted from $12.48 to $2.49 delivered to store for pickup.

For a 1/2" bit, that is a pretty good price, but be careful with steel that it does not catch and break off that shank if you need it for an impact. Me, I would hope it did break, or cut it off to use the full shank in a regular drill.

Oh, there are a bunch of deal hunters on here that will go through hoops to save a dollar. I don't have the patience, but have to admire their dedication.... lol .... Will, I did not mean to diminish your deal, because delivered, this set is a good price when using those and other zip codes.... The bits are low end and that is ok if you are drilling wood or soft materials and can sharpen them. When I am drilling steel, especially like an I-beam above my head, I really want a bit that cuts fast and holds up.

How are you using the 91784 zip code to order - at some point, don't you have to have it shipped to your local store or shipped to home?

When I do that...it changes back to the $29 price.
