FWIW I just learned that the psu bundled with this case does not have the braided cables unlike the retail version which has "some" braided cables. Although still a good deal, this explains part of the price drop.

I've watched a couple yt videos, and they all test with water cooling. Anyone own this and cool with air? How are the Temps? (Fwiw, I have a dark rock pro 3 cooling a ryzen 3600 and a evga rtx3070)

Your Dark Rock Pro 3 will be plenty for Ryzen 5 3600. Even overkill. Just make sure to have a 120mm rear exhaust fan aligned with your DRP3 back fan.

The logical fan configuration for your hardware would be side and bottom intake (2 x 140mm), top (2 x 140mm) and rear (120mm) exhaust.

You can also do all 360 at the bottom, side and top for symmetry/aesthetics purposes. But that third (rightmost) fan at the top and bottom isn't going to help with airflow. In fact, from what I heard, it may hinder it when you have side intake. There'll also be a lot more noise from ten 120mm fans than from six 140mm + one 120mm. 140mm fans can move the same amount of air as 120mm ones at way lower RPMs and noise levels.

Confused on the front panel ports. In the newegg reviews, some builds have the ports on the front, not top. Does this version come with the ports on the front, or is that only the Dynamic Black versions?

There are a couple of reasons you see the O11D paired with water cooling:
  1. Water cooling is great YouTube content (like RGB and other premium solutions)
  2. The O11D has some very specific accommodations for water cooling
The first item is why you can skip any concerns you have about air cooling (you will be OK in this case). However, the latter suggests that if you aren't using water cooling you're likely overbuying a lot of case here. Unless you are water cooling, looking for something to accommodate an E-ATX motherboard, or just want a HUGE showcase (and have somewhere to park it) this isn't the case for you.

I have the even more cavernous PC-O11D from Lian Li [tomshardware.com] (thanks to a Craigslist buy) and the mounts and routing for water cooling are clear. At the same time, I just needed a case that could swallow an oversize ATX motherboard and the PC-O11D fit the bill and the price.

Good luck!
Jon

This case doesn't fit a noctua d15 with both fans, I just learned the hard way today. Even if lian LI and Linus tech tips says it does, it doesn't and I can provide proof. Also it doesn't fit 140mm fans above the mobo because the cpu power header, cpu fan headers and vrms get in the way.

Just pickup some short sleeved extensions for the PSU. It will be tight but you can squeeze it in.

This is O11-Dynamic-mini so ports on top.
The pictures in Newegg reviews have both O11-Dynamic and O11-Dynamic-mini.
O11-Dynamic has ports on front.

Temps are fine. With maxed out cooling (3x120 top, 3x120 bottom, 2x 140mm side, 1x120 rear) and a noctua nh-d15. I hit a stable 75 degrees with my ryzen 5900x when 1440p gaming. Would prefer if temps were lower, but these ryzen 5000 series chips run hot and this temp is apparently normal/acceptable for aircooled ryzens. You should be fine with a two tower heatsink like the dark rock pro 3 or 4

I recently built my dream rig (Dark hero mobo / 5900x / noctua d15 / 3070 gpu) in this case and can confirm that yes it does fit. See if you can find shorter standoffs, or switch motherboards (it is a matter of like 1/16" for me). Can confirm, it can and does work.

I bought this case mostly because the small form factor that can fit an atx mobo with a noctua nh d15. Turned it into a RGB showcase as an afterthought lol

It is a good deal IMO. We bought o11 mini for $120 and a CM 850w for another $140. You can save about $50 compared to buying o11 mini + good rate sfcx 700-850w psu

Agreed in that this is a good deal if you were already shopping for this case.

The market for this case is... about as small as the market for most Lian Li cases these days. To their credit they really found their niche, though even early on I recall they were still pretty niche in the sense that they made cases that were mostly "look what I can do with aluminum!"

Good luck!

Just in case anyone plans to use the psu in a different case. I have a smaller lianli sfx psu and it has the power cord port on the opposite side as common sfx psus like Corsair. This one has the same layout judging by the pictures. Because of this, it will not fit in node 202 and possibly other itx cases that uses a extension cord.

I thought the market for this case is fairly large. I would be surprised if they dont bundle the white version pretty soon here with a white sfx variant. Everywhere i see a new build is 85% of the time in a lian li 011 D, XL , or mini. laugh out loud . Granted i typically look at custom loop builds but even air cooled builds.....
