Govee makes the best cheap LED strips. If I was 12 years old and thought LED strips looked good, they would be the brand I would go with based on my research. Now seeing as high CRI means a ton more to me than RGB, I would choose a Phillips Hue due to their huge dedicated white LEDs rather than Govee's fake white created by mixing all LED colors at once.

There are a ton of shills on Slickdeals, and there are a ton of fake sales of the govee strips. Just because it's heavily marketed doesn't mean it's a bad product. It fails as much as any led strip and will suffer from the same problems that any Chinese led strips will suffer from. Comparing the brightness of Govee strips to the competition, it's pretty clear that Govee is the best bang for your buck.

If you can afford Phillips for what you're doing, then sure go for it, but it super overpriced for what it is. You can buy 10 strips of Govees for the price of the same length of Phillips and again, they all fail around the same rate.

Highly suspicious voting from a SD Staff Shilled affiliate.

Govee is rebranded Minger.
They were banned on SD for a while bc of shady marketing/shilling practices but came to some arrangement with SD where they not only got re-allowed but also get promoted by staff nonstop.
take this post for the advertisement it is.

you'll get a cheap product at a cheap price. maybe that is a good value for you maybe not, but take the post and popularity with some skepticism

Once you have used RGBIC, you don't wanna go back to RGB.

Anyone knows if there is a way of converting built in LED light strip's power supply to this or any other smart led strip? Be nice to not have to use the ac adapter.
