I bought one of the Authority backpacks maybe 1.5 years ago when REI had a similar sale posted on Slickdeals. As a forewarning, these have some of the worst flimsy zippers I've encountered on a backpack. Tbh wish I returned it but felt obliged to keep it because it looked good and was slim. Definitely more form over function. The same zipper issue also plagued my messenger bag from Timbuk 2 I bought during the same sale.

I agree the MSRP on these is kinda crazy but there are a lot of solid deals here. I went with the Wingman Goldrush Duffel/backpack and the Launch backpack. Used part of the bonus gift card deal from a while back too. The REI 1 year guarantee covers Outlet deals and Timbuk2 has a lifetime warranty so this deal seems great if you need the bags as I do! TY OP!

I've had the wingman for close to 10 years now. I've traveled a lot and gotta say it is clutch for both flights and road trips. Think I did get it for close to msrp back then and it's been worth every penny and then some

Timbuk2 has same but cheaper ($114 for luggage bag)on sale on its own website https://www.timbuk2.com/collections/sale

Life time warranty is true, you can drop/ship your broken bag to their stores, I have done it twice.

I got the CoPilot a few years ago and it has been all over the US and part of Asia. Cosmetically, it looked really dirty and beat-up but is still fully functional and structurally fine. It's big enough for me to do a 7 day trip with a second pair of shoes from winters in the northeast to the summer in southwest
