Hey guys - Just a quick PSA for when these orders likely get xcled - When you call to complain, whine, threaten to never shop at HD again, yell at or say how you'll sue them, blablabla, remember that the person you're speaking to didn't cancel or decide to do so to your order. They will stick to the script. Take the 20% off your next order, free ship or whatever consolation offer they give and move on.

They aren't getting paid enough to care about your interpretation of a law or that you will never shop there again and how much you spend there. Trust this.

Should go without saying, but some of the posts here are pretty concerning...

this is my favorite part of a deal on SD. when a deal gets cancelled. when all the "lawyers" come out.

No cancellation email but when I check order status it says "we're sorry this item is no longer available"
My says that at the bottom, but at the top it still says processing.

Just for reference, I think this is the exact same model, just 1/2 inch less thickness. $765 on special buy.

That "no longer available" was for a quick buy again link. So hopefully no cancellations, just can't rebuy?

My guess, it was meant to be $178 per month.

Yep, I think they are working now to void the orders. My order status page says "We're sorry, this product is no longer available" which makes sense but the cancel button in grayed out and says "The cancellation window for this item has closed" which kinda odd considering it's only been an hour. I'll take a dookie in my local HD's parking lot and call it square.

You have 45 minutes to cancel your order per HD's own Terms and Conditions. Item no longer available means they sold out of it.

THIS WAS HD'S "DEAL OF THE DAY. That UNDERMINES their attempts to claim this was a pricing error, especially when setting a specific time to order this deal, and listing a specific amount of these items in inventory.

If this kind of price mistake, it will most likely and rightfully a cancellation. That would be a $1,000 loss for every sale.

So do they usually honor their mistakes or do they cancel?
If this was in California they would have to legally. They have laws on advertised price, not sure of you ever notice all places like so have stickers at the register from the FTC.

(a) It is unlawful for any person, at the time of sale of a commodity, to do any of the following: (1) Charge an amount greater than the price, or to compute an amount greater than a true extension of a price per unit, that is then advertised, posted, marked, displayed, or quoted for that commodity

As stated, that's moot. Retailers intentionally lose millions all the time to clear out inventory quickly -- especially larger ones with an online presence.

I'll state it one more time:

Home Depot almost certainly intentionally set this price. It was highly unlikely to be a "price mistake."

My order still looks good as of now. Says processing and has a clickable "request cancelation" button at the bottom. Ordered 1030 CT. 🤞

Lol, they don't pay even close to a $1k for these mattresses. Do you realize mattresses are one of the highest margin products on the market. I bet these have a 60-70% profit margin from the regular price built in.

I hope your right but I've never seen that button grayed out. It just seems like they are trying to freeze the orders so they can work on damage control. I recently cancelled an appliance order after it was shipped, several days after the order. It just seemed odd to see the button grayed out.
