If this ships, OP should be in SD hall of fame

Hey guys - Just a quick PSA for when these orders likely get xcled - When you call to complain, whine, threaten to never shop at HD again, yell at or say how you'll sue them, blablabla, remember that the person you're speaking to didn't cancel or decide to do so to your order. They will stick to the script. Take the 20% off your next order, free ship or whatever consolation offer they give and move on.

They aren't getting paid enough to care about your interpretation of a law or that you will never shop there again and how much you spend there. Trust this.

Should go without saying, but some of the posts here are pretty concerning...

this is my favorite part of a deal on SD. when a deal gets cancelled. when all the "lawyers" come out.

Anyone remember Target's pricing mistake for a believe multiple electronics? I think I remember some LG oleds going for only a few hundred dollars (normally cost a few thousand). They honored those sales for a lot of people if I remember correctly.

Even if they sell them at below cost they can claim losses and recover those funds. Not a huge deal for them.
That's not really how taxes work. Maybe if the mattresses were stolen your post would make more sense. Bad business decisions usually don't pan out that way. Companies can mitigate tax liability by investing in infrastructure strategically but this is just losing money.

THIS WAS HD'S "DEAL OF THE DAY. That UNDERMINES their attempts to claim this was a pricing error, especially when setting a specific time to order this deal, and listing a specific amount of these items in inventory.

HD absolutely promoted this price as "The Deal of the Day!" on this item with a clock ticking down and specific inventory listed.

It's almost impossible for HD to reasonably argue that this was a price mistake given this.
Not true. Price mistakes can happen on any item, even a "deal of the day." An employee mistyped, seems 99% likely what happened.

I bet these are coming directly from the manufacturer, so even more likely they are canceled. I can't imagine Home Depot has a warehouse full of mattresses somewhere just hoping people are on their site wanting to buy one.

The armchair lawyer replies are good material to read on the commode. Too bad I can't print them for cleanup.

Man…, Home Depot CS might be trembling in their shoes as Slickdeal's lawyers are making their case
They're too big of a company with too much revenue to worry about this.

Besides, and more importantly, it was an intentional, specific, promoted deal by them, for reasons I set forth above, and not a price mistake.

I'm not convinced they are the same - the coil count on the Sam's mattress is higher (1051) it's thinner (14") and weighs about half as much (109lbs vs 207) than the HD offering.
I compared the exact same picture to the one in the OP post. Looks what the dresser has on it. The same orange thing. If not exactly the same item, the are similar and staging using the same background. Who knows.

The coil count is also directly tied and dependent on the mattress size. Maybe the coil counts are buggy. For $176 I'll take a shot. Smilie

Lol. They didn't sell 10000 mattress in a couple hours. They found their mistake and zero'd out the inventory. Duh.
Uhh this made it to reseller groups/forums. People were buying 50 at a time

Yeah?

I ordered two, because I forgot to use the coupon code the first time, and got a notification exactly like that on the one I intentionally canceled.

The 2nd one with the coupon code applied is still alive and in process and will be delivered.

You're most likely correct. I seriously doubt anyone is getting fired for a typo in an ad that was found relatively quickly and hasn't cost them any money.
I remember having my price-mistake vanity order from HD cancelled about a year ago. That was a "deal" posted here...just like this mattress.

I don't have a screenshot of that however.

If someone does have a screenshot of that, could you please post it or forward it to me.

TIA
I saw that too. But when I went back to the deal of the day, it was removed.

When I check status of my order it says that it is no longer available as well and gives me a button to request cancelation. I am going to ride it out until they cancel it.

I contacted customer service. They gave some bs reason saying 'low stock' and I might have the same item in the cart as someone else and only one went through, hence mine got canceled.
