6 $900 couch sets (usually about 450 for the loveseat and 450 for the sofa) later within 8 years, I've learned that you pay for what you get. We are buying premium next time.

Don't spring for a cheap sofa. Say you buy this, you'll wish you would have spent more, as the money you spent on this will have gone down the toilet when it breaks.

If you have a Costco membership, you can probably find a sofa for relatively cheap. I know when their living room furniture goes on clearance, you can get some good deals. I want to say they had fabric sofas for $400 and fabric chairs for $150-$200 last year when they went on clearance.

If you're in the market for something cheap but don't want something completely awful, I highly recommend frequenting Macy's and JCPenney online. They sometimes have furniture that appear to have miss-steak-en pricing. I've bought my Ashley couch set and family their sectional at stupid prices shipped.

The main issue is finding discounted products with shipping available in your ZIP

If you've got no room in the budget, you might consider OfferUp or Craigslist. A lot of people move this time of year and you can come across some amazing deals, even for leather that can be more easily cleaned. Just do your due diligence and make sure it is a good brand coming from a smoke and pet free home. There are even guys you can usually hire in the larger metro areas to deliver for you for $50-75 if you don't have a truck or a friend with one.

I know not everyone is comfortable with a used couch, so if it's not for you then I'm sure Slickdeals will find something to your liking.
