30 Liters in size.
But you can probably fit a 30 pack of bud light in there too

The height of the pack.
The location of sternum straps.
The width of the base of the back

For a kid's school backpack, you are right. For these types of backpacks, outside of the cut of a shirt, these are probably the items that benefit the most from gender-specific design.

I've owned a Deuter pack for 15 years now. I've sent it in for multiple repairs all of which have been from incidences that other manufacturers would have said, hell no. Deuter has repaired my pack every single time, no questions asked. They've even sent me free promo schwag, such as shirts and hats. Love this company so much! I will never buy another bag unless it's Deuter.

Are all 30 the same color, or is it 15 of each color?

Thanks OP, I looked through the site and ended up getting the Deuter Trail 22 Pack (the red one). Just liked the aesthetic better.

No belt pockets but so cheap on a good brand. So you should get one.

Looking for a new pack, but the few reviews I can find on all the clearance models are mediocre at best.

These climbing packs are always a little esoteric, few outside pockets or lash points, very light, etc. I'm really tempted, though…fewer zippers can be good in the long run, less to break or jam. But definitely a little inconvenient.

OP, can you please add Daypack or Backpack to the title? My alerts totally missed this. TIA

Climbing rope are heavy, I would prefer the rope on the top of the bag rather than further out and pulling my body backwards.

What makes this a "men's pack"? It seems like a backpack couldn't be any more gender neutral.

Generally they design them to fit on a man's frame as compared with a women's frame. Everyone is personally sized differently, so it is always preferred to try on a pack in person to see how it fits on your body. Not every pack can be adjusted to the same degree to fit you.

Then there is the color differences for the different product lines...
