Bought one a couple weeks ago when it was 140. I challenge anyone to find a phone of this quality for this price brand new. One of the commenters said it was slow. I disagree, it's running Android 11, and doesn't seem to be any slower than my Galaxy S10. For the person wanting to get back into Android phones, this is the perfect opportunity to get a flagship from a couple generations ago for cheap. Bummer that there is no headphone jack, and the top and bottom bezel are larger than the newer model phones, but that leaves good amount of space for the stereo speakers on top and bottom, they are better than any other phone I've ever had. Again, I want to point out that this is running Android 11, and even though it is not being updated any further, it's amazing to get Android 11 for this price.

Would this work with Tello? They're forcing people to upgrade to GSM phones so I need to do an upgrade. How is the camera on this? Thank you for the information?

if you get a chance to try bluetooth headphones for cheap give it a shot. I didn't think it would be much improvement but the $30-ish I paid for a pair of anker soundcores has been worth every penny. can't really imagine going back to wired.
Thanks for pointing that out I didn't know bluetooth headphones were as cheap as $30 Smilie .. I am grateful to the OP for pointing out something I only now just noticed - can't believe they wouldn't include the ability to mount an SD card that's (in my opinion) a total rip off.. it's why I won't touch the iphones either, you're basically forced to get a new phone completely if you take too many pictures or videos or whatever and it fills up your phone's space (though I guess at 128 GB internal storage you'd need to take a LOT of pics and videos Stick Out Tongue ) ..

How much of a pain is it to return this if I change my mind and it's still unopened?

For those of you that updated all the way to Android 11, have you experienced any problems such as shorter battery life? I've had lots of bad experiences with major Android updates so I'm thinking of just staying on 8.0.

When paying for a car, a dent on the car door will cost you a decent amount of money. The same goes for the missing headphone jack. They need to knock any $$ off the price. It's not like they can't afford it.
LMAO, seriously? laugh out loud The headphone jack didn't get smashed off, it's just not part of the design, just like 5G isn't -- expecting a discount for every feature a phone doesn't include is ludicrous. And FWIW, the phone is discounted, massively, to the tune of more than $800 (>85%) off its $949 original sticker.

Thanks both of you for your reply. So other than not being able to flash a custom ROM, there are no other issues with a locked bootloader? The phone is still unlocked and I can use it with any carrier, correct?
Yes, locked bootloader doesn't mean sim locked. So you should be able to use it on any carrier with compatible bands.

I'm on Android 10 because I'm used to the swipe gestures.

A lot of companies are going away from the SD cards, only two that I can think of are Sony and Motorola. LG bit the dust, Samsung flagships no SD, One Plus and Google devices never had SD slot. As for headphones, you can get a usb C to 3.5 dongle just make sure it's compatible with the Pixel line.

I ordered this yesterday and just got a message from woot that the bootloader is actually locked even though it was advertised as unlocked. I have an option to cancel it for full refund.
I am not very tech savvy, so can someone please let me know what could be a problem if the phone has locked bootloader.
I will have to travel internationally to India in the next couple of months. Will the phone have an issue there?
Thanks.
In the relisting they state that the bootloader is locked on the Panda (B&W) version, but unlocked on the Just Black version. I'm guessing that's why they ended the original listing and put up a new one. So those that received the "oops" email should in theory be able to request a switch to the Just Black version (or just cancel and reorder)

Im in. Thanks for pointing out that the "just black" version is bootloader unlocked. Many other sales threads for this phone and Pixel 3 were uncertain or they were the Verizon locked versions. This will my my first phone to experiment with loading other OS's... and I will sure use most or all of the 128GB. Repped...

Sadly faxing is most certainly alive and kicking. I work for second largest hospital system and we 10s of thousands of faxes a day.

I honestly regret trading my Pixel 2XL in for my Pixel 4a 5G. The battery life was terrible when I traded it in. Can anyone comment on the battery quality of these? Recently dropped my new phone and considering going back.

this phone is slow and is only going to get slower and frustrating from this point forward. battery, OS and apps are getting outdated . . .

. . . this is not worth the price . . . should be below $90 price tag if not lower.
Just to make sure I understand, this phone is currently $130 and you're saying it's slow to the point of being frustrating but you'd be okay if it were $90? So that frustrating slowness is worth roughly $40 to you?

I bought my Panda 2XL launch day from Google. They advertised it as "unlocked". Color me shocked when I tried to load another OS 2 years ago and discovered that it was indeed locked. There are a few threads in the google support forums about this. Google isn't doing anything about it though. They've actually never admitted that the Panda was locked and the black wasn't (this is the first I'm reading of it). That experience left a bad taste in my mouth, but otherwise the phone has been awesome until late. My battery life is truly bad now, and is getting worse by the day. I'm holding out for the Pixel 6, because I can't see myself using an iPhone (I'm typing this on a Macbook, so I'm not an Apple hater) and I refuse to use any Android device that has manufacturer bloatware installed on top of Android (I miss my Moto X Pure Bamboo phone).
