Bought one a couple weeks ago when it was 140. I challenge anyone to find a phone of this quality for this price brand new. One of the commenters said it was slow. I disagree, it's running Android 11, and doesn't seem to be any slower than my Galaxy S10. For the person wanting to get back into Android phones, this is the perfect opportunity to get a flagship from a couple generations ago for cheap. Bummer that there is no headphone jack, and the top and bottom bezel are larger than the newer model phones, but that leaves good amount of space for the stereo speakers on top and bottom, they are better than any other phone I've ever had. Again, I want to point out that this is running Android 11, and even though it is not being updated any further, it's amazing to get Android 11 for this price.

I don't think the issue is with all the Pandas -- I just watched several 2xl rooting youtubes, and a bunch of the one's they unlocked/rooted were panda's. From what I've been reading, seems like Verizon is the common culprit.

P.S. - same on Moto XPE with bamboo back -- sadly my friend fell in the lake and I jumped in after him to help, and that was the end of it
Unfortunately my Panda is a Google variant, not the Verizon variant. Unless Google F'ed up and shipped Verizon variants. I am able to confirm that it's a Google version by the IMEI.

Something feels like Google F'ed up and mixed up the hardware, but won't admit it.

RIP to your Moto XPE. I loved that phone, and held onto it as long as possible.

battery life on the moto g power 2020 is really good at 5000ma. pixel2 xl with its smaller battery is still comparable? thanks!
My wife is getting a few days between charges on her new Pixel 2xl. It's speedy and has a fantastic camera.
If you know how to install 3rd party firmware, this is a fantastic mid-range phone (in today's terms) that will last a few years.

Moto g's are also great phones but they're designed for mid range and have more compromises. That said, specs for 4 year old flagship and current mid-range and comparable.

I've debated this on all the pixel deals lately. based on all my research this should be a fairly good upgrade over an aging iPhone6.. yes? (assuming unlocked bootloader-- would likely install a 3rd party for updates)

Your comment grabbed my attention and I am all for using old phones with less ram too without compromising on the app I need. I usually disable all the animation and transition in developer options to make the phones snappier. what else do you do to ensure the phone doesn't get bogged down due to lesser ram? Interested to know
Since we are talking about old phones I'll chime in. I've got several from the old perk farm days set up as media players. Hint look for older versions of the apps you want. I found a version of Slacker for example that has all the current features of LiveXLive except videos and runs great on ICS.

had this phone a couple year back and loved everything about it except the screen. it just wasn't bright enough especially when using outdoors. everything else about it is great though and this is a killer price if brand new.

Is anyone familiar with Lineage OS? I have not really tried Lineage OS on any phone, so I am not sure how well it works. I'd appreciate any advice on this. If I put Lineage OS on this unlocked phone, will it continue to be getting the latest security updates through Lineage?

This is a great deal on a great phone. I have bought 3 and replace every 18 months for one with a new battery.

Keep the others for backup.

I do not intend to install any custom OS. Which phone should I order - the boot loader unlocked or locked to ensure there are no security issues? I have T mobile so need a GSM phone with SIM

A dumb question here. It doesn't come with phone case correct? What's the best place to get one?
Just got this Ringke Bevel yesterday. Fits perfect and makes the Panda look even better.
