Although this is a new low for this laptop, the lack of usb-c charging means that it will go even lower if you don't need it now.

Don't care about this touch screen. Care about the specs and the power of the PC.
I think you know that G14 is far more powerful in every aspect, both in CPU and GPU. So, why are you asking here if you are so sure that your main concern is Spec and power.

I'm a newbie when it comes to the computers. Haven't purchase the laptop in a long time. Thank you for your reply.

Two completely different types of laptop for completely different types of end users.

One is a gaming laptop with discrete graphics, and this one is tailored towards business users who travel alot and value portability, using their laptop in "tablet" format, and media consumption.
I'm looking to do a little bit of both. Thank you for your feedback. I guess the one from Bestbuy is the right choice for me.

Any way to get past ID.me verification? Previous Tab deal somehow worked without verification.
Someone helped me out so I am trying to pay it forward.
  1. Create a new Samsung account with your .edu email.
  2. You will receive a pin code to that email address to type in.
HTH!

Just FYI, I got the Asus and returned it because it is not designed to run with cover closed, like when I use my external monitor. Asus says so and people report damage.

Trying to decide between this one or ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G14 14" Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 - 512GB SSD

Any feedback is appreciated.

Isn't this without a Webcam? In this Day and Age... I know external Webcam do exist, but 1 additional piece I need to carry with my portable.

I always thought this was an OS setting in the power management, "don't sleep when lid is closed".

Different issue. It works when lid is closed but heat exhaust is directed to bottom of screen. Per G14 manual: "Don't operate with lid closed."
Can cause thermal throttling, screen damage, etc.

So far I've never seen a laptop that cannot run when the cover is closed. It's always been a setting in OS. It even goes the same with the Mac.

Anyone have an example of the deal they got, including cb and other offers (like cc discounts etc). What sorts of things are eligible to trade in?

If you don't mind me asking, what is your budget and can you mention some of the application names and type of tasks you are planning to do? Like say using Excel and office, some Video and photo editing, coding etc. Normally these kind of details give us better idea and help to suggest the most suitable option. Also, from the form factor of laptop you're choosing, I'm guessing you're looking for light weight and portable Laptop as well.
