Hey Everyone, my Roomba no longer charges and we have two 100 lb dogs. I bought this as a replacement to help vacuum. Thanks for your comments. We'll see how it goes in a few days.
You will be cleaning the brush every 2/3 days. I have 2 50lb dogs and currently trying out a shark iq purchased off of Amazon warehouse for $265. Been a week and no hair on the brush so far impressed but it takes it a while to map the house properly due to using a camera system for guidance but it has been great even goes over the shag rug that my other vacuums couldn't.

Same here. I got "Shark IQ Robot Vacuum AV1002AE with XL Self-Empty Base, Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Advanced Navigation, Wi-Fi, Compatible with Alexa, 2nd Generation" from amazon. It works but it is based on camera tech for my downstairs (carpet/Hardwood). I wanted to try Lidar for Upstairs(carpet only). I bought moosoo $100 one but tired of emptying bin. so Let see how lidar one goes.

Camera based one's has a big drawback of not being able to work in darkness. They need light while functioning which limits them either to day time or having lights on and can't perform cleaning while asleep.

I have this and overall I would say it works well. I haven't used the mop function yet but from what I'm seeing it might not be worth using anyway but I'm fine with that given the price. One thing I realized, as this was my first robo vac, was to keep wires out the way or put virtual boundaries in areas with wires on the ground (I don't block out the whole room, just the wall that has wires running alongside it), other than that it works well and has no issues going and and cleaning. It says google compatible and even though I can connect it to my google home, I can't control it from the google home app or via voice commands which is annoying but I do like that with the iHome app I can see it from anywhere and control it. My shiba is very wary of it when its running but she is getting more comfortable with it. I usually run it when I'm home so she knows its fine.

Yes it is but my lidar vacuum gets stuck in the closet or under the couch/bed if the fabric/clothing is hanging too low. Where I'm finding the camera runs perfect really both systems run pretty good and the comparisons are close. As for cleaning when asleep, I doubt many do that since the noise should be enough to wake most unless your a real heavy sleeper.

Lidar is good, I have had a neato botvac for years which uses it and definitely maps out the rooms and house faster than camera and will work in dark conditions. Only reason for grabbing the shark iq was for the bagless self emptying and great customer support.

Good to know. Another concern for me personally with camera based vacuums are the security of these cameras and threat of unauthorized access in the event of breach. Might be far fetch but the possibility of someone peaking inside the house troubles me which is why I keep the cameras only to outside and turn on in home ones only when I am on vacation.

Better block any camera on a tablet, doorbell, cellphone or laptop then, those would be a more likely target than any vacuum but I can understand the concern.

Oh, I do that Smilie

That's why I mentioned far fetch for vacuums but their security is much lower than the phones and laptops which get regular updates but yes, also more likely targets

Just get the Walmart insurance. Stupid easy to file and claim. And quick payout. Paid out within 24 hours 90% retail of my old eufy vacuum that I had for 1 1/2 years. Didn't even have to return.

I bought this but returned it, if you need it for vacuum it's amazingly good, but the mop feature was very bad which was what I was more interested in
If you're interested in a mopping robot, you might want to give iLife Shinebot w400 or w450 a try. I just bought a Shinebot w450 recently to mop after my Neato finish vacuuming and have been pretty satisfied with it's performance so far. Unlike other mopping robots, shinebot sprays water on the floor, go over it with a brush, squeegee the excess water, and sucks the dirty water back up (to a separate tank).

This exact vacuum was selling about a month ago for $300. Anyone know if I can get the $50 back or would I have to return and repurchase?
