Was debating on getting the three year. Bought it without it. Too late to add after the sale?
I ordered on the 20th and got it today and in Walmart account, I see this message indicating I have 28 days to add a plan 'Your order has purchases eligible for a Protection Plan. Add a plan within 28 days!'

Self emptying sounds great, but I find I need to clean the brush almost every time I run my Eufy and Wyze (2 adult human females with long!-ish hair and 1 labradoodle). Does anyone with the iHome have experience with that?

If I have to clean the brush, then emptying the bin isn't a big extra step.

I bought this vacuum and the Wyze vacuum to compare to each other. I ended up returning the Wyze vacuum and keeping this one.

Tl;dr: I would recommend this vacuum.
Got the Wyze recently. Also thinking of getting this to compare and love the 90-day return policy.

From what I read: Pros for this one is mainly the dust bin. Cons are no multi-floor support and the bags are expensive. Is that about it for big differences? It has been getting annoying constantly emptying the wyze but in general we like it. Don' really care about the app.

How's the android app?

I'm curious if any other brands bag can be used with this? It looks pretty similar to roomba

Or has anyone found a good way to reuse these by emptying their contents?

Hey Everyone, my Roomba no longer charges and we have two 100 lb dogs. I bought this as a replacement to help vacuum. Thanks for your comments. We'll see how it goes in a few days.
Fyi. I have a roomba that died but you can buy fairly cheap replacment batteries on Amazon. Just a few screws to get to battery.

Walmart website says it does multirooms.

I've tried 3 vacuum bots before (roomba, ilife, and roborock) and just bought this one. Overall I'm quite happy with it, especially given much lower price. It performs close to roborock, and much better than roomba. Firmware seems to be updated frequently so hopefully more improvements will come over time. Only concern is the vacuum bags, it seems to be one time use and I wonder if there are cheaper ones.

Your options for that are to just reset map and it will remap the "new" floor as it cleans. The downside to this is that if you set up no go zones (like I do for my cats food) then you'd have to redo it every time you took the vac to a new floor.
After some searching, the iHome autovac looks to be a rebrand of the Proscenic M8 Pro (which is likely a rebrand of another Xiaomi model) and they are all capable of multi-map support hardware wise. Proscenic web servers handle the account registration/messaging within the iHome app. iHome even copied their entire app UI from Proscenic, just forgot or chose to not to implement the multi-floor support for whatever reason.

If you guys would all spam their support email address here: [email protected]
with requests to activate the feature, they will likely turn it on. Would be cool if this was added to the wiki and SD effect could force their support team to implement this feature asap hehe.

Editing comment until I've measured parts to ensure proper fit.

I recently returned the Shark from Costco with the self empty bin. It kept getting stuck and I really want the Lidar. It didn't use a bag though, what is the purpose of the bag on this? Do you have to use it or can it just empty into the bin?

Anyone having the vacuum move couple of inches forward after it is fully charged and detaching it from the base? Happened twice in 12 hours

Received unit yesterday. Not excessively loud and navigates somewhat cluttered room reasonably well. Initial issues connecting to wifi- it needs your phone to be connected to a 2.4ghz band to transfer the connection to the robot, and if your phone is connected to a 5ghz band it won't connect. If this is a rebrand of the proscenic M8, these bags are quite cheap [amazon.com] and alleviate the bag cost issue. Seems to be an excellent robot for the price. Some are mentioning the N8+- you need the N8 pro+ to get better object on floor like wire/pet poop detection which is $600- not the one sold at best buy. That one on sale would be the next logical step up. The Roborock S7 has great features but is $700 plus $300 for the bin...
