CCC says this is a good deal. I have one and like it. Not WiFi so a lot less likely someone will hack your camera. But you have to be nearby. Very reliable.
For those using a wyze cam, what do you use for a monitor? A plus IMO of these dedicated units are the always on monitor. Are you using a phone app and just randomly checking or if you hear a noise? Also, I know my ring cams timeout when watching on an echo show. I assume wyze cams would do the same? Interest to hear how you actually use this setup. Thxs

Was using a cheap spare phone until recently.. Switched to echo show during the prime day deal and it works like a charm (no timeout)

We bought the TimeFlys penguin off Amazon for audio. Big reason was it charges with mini-usb, not a proprietary cable, and both units can be used wireless.
Although the show is great as a video monitor, it cannot filter out white noise (to my knowledge) unless you turn off the volume. Kind of defeating the purpose.
The TimeFlys has been good, not great. Gets the job done, especially if you lower the sensitivity level and put it in nighttime mode.

I used to like this brand but my last experience made me change my mind. On my eufy home base (for wireless camera), they updated the software and complete bricked the unit. Something must have went wrong. After I contacted them, they said they would not provide me a replacement because it passed their warranty by two months. They broke my device from their automatic software update.
Issue with WiFi cameras are… WiFi. Without a stable connection it won't work. When I traveled to remote-ish places, a good connection isn't a given for some of these places. When that happens, WiFi cameras do not work, and these dedicated monitors are great for that reason.
This goes down to $100 so definitely not a slick deal. I have two of these and while cameras are great the monitors are cheaply made and usually brake down even on Carpet fall. If you can secure the monitor somehow this is very good baby monitor.

From my experience, the monitor is pretty fragile and cannot withstand minor drops, if any.
