Btw, after I started using my standing desk, my neck and shoulders began hurting a LOT as I no longer had arm rests like I had on my chair to support my arms.

This COMPLETELY fixed my problem:

I never said 6 hours straight. People who work in offices, which is a high percentage of the population, are sitting for hours at a time. Not that hard to understand who this will benefit.

??? People in offices are not sitting in their chair 100% of the time. They are allowed to walk around, go to the bathroom, go to meetings, go to the water cooler, etc.

This is just some guys "bright idea" to make millions off of nothing.

I don't want to even spend 30 minutes typing standing up.

Received my desk riser. It's awful - the mechanism to rise goes up way too fast and to go down takes a lot of force. The quality of the 'wood' is super cheap and scratches easily. Stay away.

Completely opposite experience as user above. Probably one of my best/useful purchases on Slickdeals ever. Even without the riser, it just gives my desk so much more uncluttered space. Looks and feels extremely solid and professional, to the point where when it is not elevated, hard to tell it's not naturally part of the desk. I have no issues elevating or bringing down. To lower required a bit of force at first, but now is quite easy.
