I just got this same monitor from the previous SD at Target for the same price. I like it a lot. It was not my primary montior though, it was a secondary to my Samsung 27" G7 240hz monitor. I didn't like having a flat secondary monitor next to the G7's extreme curve and grabbed this when it came on sale. It's a nice monitor for THIS price range.

PROS
-Price is very very good for these specs
-27" 1440p @ 144hz
-Color is solid
-Curve is nice
-No ghosting that I could tell, but it was used as my secondary monitor so no games on it.
-Fast startup
-Freesync

CONS
-HDR sucks
-No gsync
-No side usb ports (I wouldn't use anyways, but some might)
-External power brick

THINGS TO NOTE
-Curve did not match my G7 (not monoprice fault)
-Starts up as fast as my G7
-Try not to compare it too much to the G7 as that monitor costs 3x as much, so it's not a fair comparison.
-Mine was vesa mounted, so I cannot comment on the stand, never removed it.
-PC Specs: i9-10850k & RTX 3090

Having said all of that... I am actually returning the monitor because the G5 27" was on sale for $269 and I want it to match my G7. Had that sale not occurred, I would have happily kept this for my secondary monitor.

Why do you have a 3090 to game at 1440

bought it on the last price drop and I love it. Works great and honestly happy that I didn't drop 350 on a similar monitor brand. (have had it 3 months no problems)

Is there any advantage of getting QHD vs 4k for a monitor? I use a QHD at work and love it. Currently considering a new monitor at home. Was looking at this one but I noticed that monoprice has some 4k monitors for about $300... Thoughts?

I don't know about this since I haven't done a comparison visually myself, but that's similar to what people said about 1080p and 720p way back when. It was completely noticeable the difference between 1080p and 720p despite all the people claiming our eyes couldn't distinguish from the distances stated. Those claiming otherwise must've had bad eyesight.

I play competitive FPS games at high frames on a high refresh monitor -> CoD: Warzone / Cold War at max settings 1440p and getting 220-240fps. Other games are typically FPS games as well (Doom, CSGO, Cybperpunk lol).

I was also only able to find a 3090 nearly 8 months ago, so it was either stay at 1080ti or get a 3090. It's my main hobby and money is not an issue. If a 3080 HAD been available then (or even now for that matter), I would have gone that route and spent the extra money elsewhere, but it is what it is. Hope that helps

I would assume the 4K @ 60hz, so it's hard to compare it to a 1440p @ 144hz. Yes the resolution will be better, but if you have not experienced a higher refresh monitor, you should try it if you are looking to use it for games.

144hz adds to the price when you could just pay for a normal 1440p 60hz monitor
