Some bonus points and a popcorn seems like a pretty low enticement considering they're still trying to lure back business

This Regal/Disney promotion is the same type they have been running 1 - 2 times a year for a couple years before Covid. They have never included digital copies of the movies. The bonus here is the DMI points you can use to purchase DMI merchandise including movies. Grant it with the 1000 Points you will have to wait for decent titles to go on sale at 1000 to 1200 Points typically. But decent buys are not unheard of under 1000 points for movies.
Pre-Covid Regal has teamed up with other movie studios; like Sony, Universal, and Lionsgate, for promotions where if you see all the movies in the promo you will get a a free popcorn, some bonus points, and digital copies of the movies. They are usually 3-4 movies in the promotions.
Same here. Since this promo was released almost 2 weeks after Black Widow was released, I was concerned that it would not count towards showings before the promo. Even though it states it will.
Here is a tip and it depends on if you are willing to have a small revolving credit balance @ fandango.com. Typically the trigger for counting if you saw one of these movies in these types of promotions is just buying a ticket connected to your Regal Crown Club card. You can buy the ticket online through Regal, at a Regal Box Office, or through Fandango as long as you have your Regal Crown Club number registered in your Fandango account and have connected your Fandango account to Disney Movie Insiders. I would play it safe and make sure your DMI account is connect to both Regal Crown Club and Fandango.
Then just buy a ticket to one of the eligible titles and cancel the ticket before the showing. Fandango will credit you the cost of the ticket and the convenience fee. A cheap ticket and the fee can be easily had for $10. I typically buy the ticket a day or 2 before the showing and pick a late night show. Then cancel the ticket the day of the showing. You usually get an email confirmation that you saw the movie from Regal anywhere from the next day to 2 or 3 days later. Then when I get the credit from Fandango I use the same credit for the next movie in the promotion and then next promotion after that.
This has worked on all the Regal/Disney promos like this and the other promos where Regal teams up with other movie studios but also offers digital movies at the end of the promotion if you see all the movies in the promo. I did this for about 2-3 years before Covid and got about 20- 25 movies and it only cost me a revolving balance of about $14.
Here in SoCal, the Regal Cerritos popcorn sucks. Stale/soft, salty taste for the "butter" rather than a buttery taste, hard unpopped kernels in the past four times I've been in the past two months. So blah, only the snack size is worth the money, if you must have popcorn.
The Cinemark Torrance or CGV popcorn as far far better, perfectly popped, no hard kernels, and delicious buttery flavor at Cinemark, and delicious carmel popcorn at CGV. These are seriously delicious - can easily finish a regular bucket non-stop.

Real slickdealers sneak their own food in, It's a rite of passage.
I usually go for free movie screeners. I eat a meal before, get ready to hold out with just a soda I bring...... But then everyone's eating popcorn and it's like Homer Simpson and donuts at that point..... "Popcorn!!" and I give in...
And an upgrade to a large is like 2 dollars or it used to be before the pandemic.
