I will say, my old iPhone SE (non 2020) model did unlock after only using their service for one month and went to a different carrier. Learned after checking it a year later. However this was 3 years ago, and they may no longer do this.

For Apple. more price points are good. And rumor is the form factor is getting at least one more iteration with the 13. FYI, the iPhone SE 202 is the iPhone 6 form factor, which turns 7 years old this year(!).
