Same processor as the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, so figure on Octane scores of 35,000+.

Seems high, especially for a limited Chromebook.

The Samsung is 16:9, Acer is 3:2. It's personal preference which works best.

I prefer 3:2. There aren't that many Chromebooks like that though.

Purchased this a few months ago for about the same price. Yes it is somewhat pricey for a Chromebook, but really it is designed to be a good substitute for a regular laptop, and at that time I was looking for a laptop and something more than a basic Chromebook. Functions well as a tablet also. Great display.

I think all 2-n-1's are somewhat fat due to their keyboards. And they're a lot heavier than a tablet.

Not related, except I think they use the same screen. By the way, I think this is really cool although you pay for it:

Yeah, I know other people have tried this and whatever. Anyway, I like iGPU general laptops so this hits that. No Clips!

I want one.

Honest question: what things do you do daily that require a local app or Windows/Mac support?

With most things in the web, I've appreciated the simplicity and speed of these mid-higher end chromebooks. Admittedly, we have Windows work laptops if needed to fall back on but most things at home for us are chrome/android capable so genuinely interested in your list 'more-complete' OS needs in this laptop/price range.

I own this Chromebook and love almost everything about it except for the speakers. Their weak for such a beautiful display.

Chrome is supported longer than Windows 10.
