Is It Necessary to have a Portable Jump Starter Pack in your Vehicle?

Own a 2008 Chevy Cruze currently over 120,000 miles, had only one time that battery was drained due to let AC on for 2 hours with the car parked. Now it takes longer and longer to get it started.
Consulted a mechanic friend and it's kinda not worth it to get a brand new battery because we are planing to get a new car next year. Still worried about it and wonder if a jump start pack can make the situation better, or at lease we got a backup plan.

That thought came from an email talking about fanttik t8 apex jump start pack which I have never heard. Did look it up online https://fanttik.com/pages/t8-apex-overview ,the website looks neat tho.
It says pretty much works on any Vehicle up to 8.5L gas and it works as a 65W fast charge power bank as well. Got flashlight on it and some other features. Is it worth to buy? I mean for a jump start pack it seems pretty small, does it really work?

I can say in the ~ 5 years I've had them, I've used one once and that was for someone else's car, not mine.

2) as someone who recently needed a jump and a new battery, I was reminded that you should regularly check your jump starter's battery levels. Most of them require 30-50% charge in order to jump, and some of them need to be fully charged each jump. That could be problematic if you have a dying battery, needed to jump when leaving the home, and expect to need a jump on the way back.

Just go somewhere and get a basic battery

Also, I suggest you skip gm products of you're getting something newer. 120,000 miles is near the end for most Chevys nowadays. I suggest either Honda or Toyota for your next car. Yeah, you pay more but they last a real long time.
That and I wonder how many of these jump start battery packs are catching on fire and burning down your car.
I usually use a coupon online for instore pickup, generally at Advance. Saves $15-20 usually.

Pretty sure that place is local but I'd think something like it exists in most metro areas.
Can't tell you where they get their stock from. They do want the core. Maybe rebuild ones?
I had one dud out of 5 or over the years. They replaced it with a good one.
