Go into the store. I got mine with 10% BBY back offer by Chase. Sweet deal if you can. Staples does not let you return Apple products or exchange them once open. Too risky if you change your mind. I will take BBY over Staples everyday
What is this chase offers?
That being said, though, I don't know if I would've bought these for personal use. Company gifted all of us a set last Christmas - both as a morale boost for everyone working from home as well as also providing a standard set of equipment for calls and meetings since we were all working from home. If you understand the nature of lithium rechargeable batteries you know that they wear down the more they are charged - the pods have TINY batteries in them so you're literally charging them all the time. Since they're basically impossible to replace, these are basically just disposable goods. Just more junk going into our oceans and landfills. As more Right-to-Repair legislation gets passed I hope that Apple and other manufacturers are forced to reconsider how they design and manufacture these.
They're also not that great if are in a lot of meetings where you have to speak a lot - the battery life for listening is pretty good, but if you're talking it's like....1 or 1.5hrs at best before they need to go back into the case. My boss literally has to switch between two sets to keep them charged between meetings.
