Worth every penny... barely. I'm sure there are some who truly have the patience and limited needs where these are appealing, but most people have been bitten once already or, if not, will be incredibly disappointed by how laggy and frustrating these are.

I got the regular one, it's not too laggy for basic internet browsing and streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime and such.

Same is visible on the FireTV Stick.
Unfortunately, that is not available on Fire tablets anymore.

You really do not want to install any APPS on a micro SD card. The speed of reading files is very large. I recommend only keeping your media files (moveis, books and music files) on a SD card.

I personally have used about 28GB out of my 32GB and kind of wish I purchased the 64GB version. At the same time...if you don't have to many big apps (GAMES) I would not hesitate getting the 32GB version and upgrading in a year or two or three.

I bought a 32GB on Prime Day. Immediately ran it through Fire Toolbox, installed the Play store. It's a LOT quicker than the smaller tablets, and while advertised as 1080P it's actually 1920x1200, and the screen is very nice.

It is not a high end tablet but it is very solidly medium to upper medium with good performance at a low end tablet price.
