4000 series mobile chips (past generation Ryzen). AMD has weird numbering as they don't match up with their desktop cpu numbering.
That's on purpose , AMD has joined Intel in that deceptive marketing game big time.
if you don't pay attention you're in trouble.
eg. 5700U is Zen2 architecture but 5800U is zen3. look at all the OEMs pushing 5700U citing 5000 series Ryzen even thought in reality they are the old architecture chips
This is a near perfectly balanced platform for a long-term laptop system. This has all the horsepower and specs that most would need for today, and even has an option for upgrading the RAM if OS updates render 8GB the new 4GB (or if user needs increase).
Rare to see it all come together but this thread has brought out a few buyers of this series (including myself) and I can certainly attest that this is one of the best general-purpose value platforms Dell has had for easily the past 4-5 years.
