Not too many negatives, no hinge issue, but most complaints say runs a bit hot(intel version), too heavy, battery life is like 2 to 3 hours, intermittent ram issues and an unusual high amount of defective screens. Oh, buzzing / hissing sound when you plug your ear buds in .

I bought Nitro 5 last year about this time and it's a BEAST. It was $669 I think, so I am not sure if this Legion 5 is such a great deal, only addition is 1tb SSD which is about $60-$80 anyway.
I think Lenovo might have better build quality but a lot of reviews mentioned some issues with hinge or screen or something I forgot.

And it's good! The keyboard feels surprisingly good, and the screen isn't great but I use it as a third monitor so I don't really care. Occasionally the HDMI to my big screen goes out(??) but it /usually/ isn't an issue.
But if you're actually looking for a gaming laptop that can handle eg: current games, I'd probably look elsewhere - a 1660 or even 3050 TI will be >40% faster (eg the recent dell g15, which has been going on sale for $800ish recently and has a faster CPU as well).
