Some 2060s were being sold last BF at this price so this doesn't really seem like a deal. I'd hold out at least for that.
lol, the prices of graphics cards have more than 2x since black friday. What things were selling for at that time is kind of irrelevant to now.

Has all the ports I want and need. Far too many laptops don't have enough ports, especially non-gaming models. I might buy just for this reason, but the price is rather high.

You've been on here 17 years... Those 21 rep points make sense. 🔥

Don't bother replying to anyone on here without a link to your item and the magic deal for $300 more.

I picked this up for $600 refurbed last year (october 2020) via vip outlet on eBay and upgraded the RAM to 32gb. Currently using it as my main computer (I'm typing this on it!), it replaced a desktop from 2017 that was getting too loud - I keep it on quiet mode basically all the time.
And it's good! The keyboard feels surprisingly good, and the screen isn't great but I use it as a third monitor so I don't really care. Occasionally the HDMI to my big screen goes out(??) but it /usually/ isn't an issue.
But if you're actually looking for a gaming laptop that can handle eg: current games, I'd probably look elsewhere - a 1660 or even 3050 TI will be >40% faster (eg the recent dell g15, which has been going on sale for $800ish recently and has a faster CPU as well).
Is the kb silent or not? I keep it pretty silent in my office for work and didn't want sounds of me typing at times during mettings or on a call.

The best I've seen on amazon for 300 more is the 1660ti version, and only when sold by amazon, and that goes in and out of stock. Right now it's out of stock (for the 999.99 price)
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BB9RWXD/

Perhaps this is what they're referring to. 350 more. https://www.amazon.com/Lenovo-Dis...08YKG5K7F/
correct it was posted on here for $300 more but yeah on amazon $350 more currently. Don't know of waiting for the 3060 over the 3050 TI would be worth it for me. My time for gaming have been reduce greatly for the last few months so most of it would really be for youtube stuff.

It's a standard lenovo laptop keyboard. I actually really like the KB compared to other laptops in this price range, and to me it's pretty silent - the keys are pretty soft. but usually I'm using this with my Kinesis Advantage plugged in, so I haven't noticed it much

IMHO...
NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti IS TO SLOW.

You want at least a 1660Ti or a RTX2060.

Here is a dead deal for $750.00. POINT IS, there will be other deals in the near future. Especially for August

AND the best deal right now is a open box HP Omen from Bestbuy $856 (near me).

I can't see myself buying a laptop with a 1660ti/super much less this at this price.

In fact, this is a bad buy in 2020 maybe even 2019.

Prices are dropping now and will drop further.

Waiting for a good deal on Ryzen 9 and 64GB RAM.
I'll add more sarcasm, just for it to be throttled.

How do you post a general tip? Through NC's discount for employees link, for Lenovo I just got a 5i 15.6. 1T ssd AND 1T hard drive, 500 nits ,i7 10750H
240 Hz, RTX 2060
Windows 10 Pro
16 GB DDR4 2933MHz (2 x 8 GB)
If you or someone in your family is a government employee, you might be eligible for a deal. $1249 for this laptop with the best mix of specs I've seen for the price.
Also, the extended warranty was cheaper- $111 for 4 years!
Yes, a Ryzen 7 or 9 and a 3070 would be better, but I don't want to spend that much- I think I did okay.

I try not to buy laptop from untrustworthy company with CPP background, poor quality is one issue, security is a bigger concern, using such a computer, your privacy and e-mails will be secretly accessed by CPP 24/7. Dell's products give me no such worries.
