A small piece of black electrical tape and a smart plug from the many deals here will fix those 2 issues. From what I hear, the quality has gone down since the earlier days but is still worth it IMO. I recently bought this set and can confirm they sound amazing. I only adjust the volume from my PC so I don't touch anything on the speakers at all. Those are the recommendations I have heard from the other folks here.

Here's a good review and he talks about power consumption at 10:35
Also mentions Klipsch does not recommend turning them on and off with a switched power strip etc.
He loved at first but updated in that video after a couple weeks and decided to return them due to power consumption, heat, and sharpness of sound... its a good review from start to finish though.

Do you like move your speakers 20 times a day or have children? Cause my speakers have been sitting for a long time and my grills are not broken. Not sure what you're doing to your speaker grills.

Does the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 THX Computer Speakers have better sound quality than a $200 Vizio V-Series V51-H6 soundbar?

nice speakers...

but what is the deal here? they have been cheaper and cheaper....

did Klipsch accidentally order 1,000,000 units instead of 100,000 units with their Chinese contractor and now they have to figure out a way to sell those extra 900,000 speakers?

i bought this last time it was posted and the LED on the front is really really bright and the only way to turn it off is to unplug it.

Wow, if I already didn't have these bla bla bla. In all seriousness they are definitely worth 70. The only complaint I have is they never turn off.

These are worth $70. Don't expect a miracle though! The sub is doing some serious lifting because without it, these speakers would be worth not even $30

Starting tomorrow, 7/24/21, these speakers are $69.99 including shipping. Says it's a member-only item per the website. Great deal on these speakers! Lowest I've seen so far at Costco.

Use black marker and black out the LED.

I bought 3 sets last time. Blue painters tape over the light, plugged into a power strip for On/Off, and just got a nice BT adaptor that works great with it. That said, one set has a bad channel (R) and Amazon is replacing that set. Great sound.

And maybe with a power switch? These are OK speakers, not a bad deal at $70. Speaker grills easily break.

A small piece of electrical tape blocks it completely. I just did it to mine. Alternatively, if you still want to see the light, but just make it less bright you could paint over it or use a permanent marker. To fix the lack of on/off switch this works great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1
