It warms and maintains the temp of the water bath to the exact temp you want your meat to be until the whole piece of meat can reach that temp.

Do you like your steak a little pink in the middle? How about the whole steak being cooked like that edge to edge? You can't really overcook things unless you leave them for hours longer than needed (then the proteins start breaking down). You can safely undercook things as well (pasteurization).

I use mine mostly for steak, thick pork chops, and chicken thighs. Perfectly cooked and juicy every time. Set it and forget it. I tend to buy food in bulk on sale then preseason and vacseal them in the right portions so I can throw it straight from the freezer into the water bath.

If you don't have a vacuum sealer plan on buying one. You can do it without but it's a hassle.

Don't bother with the strawberry filled croissants. Buy a jar of the Bonne Maman jam, a pack of regular croissants, and apply your own powdered sugar. The combo is infinitely superior and the jar of jam holds a ridiculous number of servings.

I don't like it :/ the meat seems over marinated and overly sweet. I've tried it twice now

They definitely do go on sale. I bought them on sale last time and there is no comparison between it and Cascade. Dishes cleaned with Cascade came out super clean with no residue. Dishes cleaned with the Kirkland brand always felt like there was a coating on the surface and some dishes would still have some food residue leftover. I switched back to Cascade after using up all the Kirkland and haven't had any problems since. Never buying the Kirkland brand again.
Really? I look through every ad flyer and I've never once seen them on sale or on in-store special.

Now to be fair, I double checked the CR ratings and the Kirkland has dropped a bit in ratings and lost its Best Buy rating, but it still scored a 76 overall with a Very Good rating. At $8 a box, on sale, they're significantly cheaper than the Cascade variants.

The same way all sous vide works. It deliciously boils your food in a plastic bag! Big Grin
but at the cost of it taking 1hr vs 5-10min with frying pan.

Koda garage lights back at $20. Wasn't ready for them during Christmas time when they were last at $20. Good timing now as I redo some lighting.

Do NOT buy the LG fridges. They are beautiful but when I purchased one they told me LG is 2 to 3 months behind on shipping due to part shortage. I had to cancel my order. Luckily I might of dodged a bullet because I hear LG has major problems with the compressor in their fridges. Something about a plastic piece inside that almost always fails.

Anyways, I ended up buying a GE profile fridge. Very comparable size wize to the LG but slightly more expensive. However, the stock is good and quality is good. Highly recommend!
I bought my LG frig from Costco early this month. Its delivery was only delayed a week. So not as dire as you claimed.
