It warms and maintains the temp of the water bath to the exact temp you want your meat to be until the whole piece of meat can reach that temp.

Do you like your steak a little pink in the middle? How about the whole steak being cooked like that edge to edge? You can't really overcook things unless you leave them for hours longer than needed (then the proteins start breaking down). You can safely undercook things as well (pasteurization).

I use mine mostly for steak, thick pork chops, and chicken thighs. Perfectly cooked and juicy every time. Set it and forget it. I tend to buy food in bulk on sale then preseason and vacseal them in the right portions so I can throw it straight from the freezer into the water bath.

If you don't have a vacuum sealer plan on buying one. You can do it without but it's a hassle.

Don't bother with the strawberry filled croissants. Buy a jar of the Bonne Maman jam, a pack of regular croissants, and apply your own powdered sugar. The combo is infinitely superior and the jar of jam holds a ridiculous number of servings.

Is Beef Bulgogi any good?
It's on the sweet side. I found that, eating it as part of a meal with rice and vegetables, really made it taste better overall. I may get it again if I make it in to Costco during these deals.

With such thin strips of beef, this isn't something you'd sous vide anyway. I wok mine.

True, but you can apply this advice to a large percentage of "convenience" foods that are almost as easy to make yourself, cheaper, and usually better. But people are either lazy, insecure about their ability to make even the easiest of foods, or stressed out and overworked and just want to open a box, take something out, at most pop it in the micro for a minute or so, and just eat it. These are targeted at the microwave pancake and UberEats every night of the week crowd. Also the laundry pod and pre-ripped jeans crowd. Huge, huge market. Plus, everyone's bought something like this at one point or another. My indulgence is their cilantro shrimp. Easy to make yourself, but what the hell.

Seems good for the USB outlet receptacles. Now I won't have to keep hunting down the usb plugs and moving them from room to room when they get lost.

Is this $650 Lenovo laptop the same one they've had at this price several times this year, or an upgrade? Every time I've thought about buying that one, I ended up holding off because apparently its CPU is a bit underpowered for 2021 technology, even though the rest of the specs are perfect for my needs (although a 1TB SSD would be nicer, but I can always swap the one that comes with it for a 1TB drive). The CPU is probably fine for my needs too, but who wants to buy outdated tech?

Ok, looked it up myself. The Lenovo 14" laptop that was on sale at Costco several times earlier this year sold for as low as $550, but came with an AMD Ryzen 5 4600U 2.1GHz CPU compared to the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 in this one (not sure what its speed is). Also, that one came with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics whereas this one comes with Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Not sure which one's better and for what uses.

Anyone know which laptop is better in terms of CPU and video chipset, and perhaps otherwise? Also, are the screens the same, and are the Nits the same?

And are folks still able to get Costco CS to give you a $50-$100 discount code on the phone?
