Anyone know if the $5 Target Circle offer is ymmv? I'm not seeing it as an option under Electronics, and it doesn't populate for me if i search the keywords Amazon, Fire, or Kindle.

I'm admittedly not too savvy with how the circle offers works, but it looks to me like maybe it's just not available on my account.

Yes you can but for some reason I still could not get my ring doorbell to push alerts to my fire hd tablet. Ended up returning it.

That'll happen with a lot of apps on the Fire tablet. Still love my Fire tablet, but that's the main drawback of the device. I don't use it for anything where I need notifications from apps. It's because of amazon's special version of Android (Fire OS)

Ah yes you are correct. Also you can just debloat but not load an android custom rom in the new version tablets I believe.

I was going to get 2 of these to replace 2 2017 versions that i have, in which i sideloaded Google Play and have been able to use without any limitations that my 6&8-year-olds noticed.

Anyone know of you can still install Google Play on these 2020 versions?

My big thing was that I wanted to install Google Family Link to get some parental controls around browsing, but Fam Link isn't allowing me to install on our 2017's

I got this when it first came out. It is not the fastest but like that it does get Amazon updates.. And you can load google on it using the Firetool box
