Competition is good for the consumer, if the service stinks, it will go away on it's own. If there is a monopoly they can charge you as much as they like, and you have no other choice. No one is forced to use all of the available services at once, just bounce around, taking advantage of all the deals and offers.

I've heard many stories of people being charged, even though they canceled on time.

The is the worst service. I've had it 2 months and can't watch a single movie. Everything skips literally every 2 minutes. Tried on my tv and on my phone.
Never had an issue with it. I have the most issues with Disney surprisingly. I love all the old comedy central shows you can finally watch again here

That's why you use PayPal and cancel through PayPal too.

I was hopeful there would be more content in here - but it's pretty useless

Boycott all these streaming spin-offs, maybe they'll realize that working with Hulu or Netflix is better for consumers (and themselves). Or we can just chase them all down and end up paying $150/mo for 10 different streaming services and wonder how we got into this mess…
Just subscribe to one major streaming site, and for the particular movie/shows you want to watch but unavailable, just do one time digital rental or pay one-month fee on the other streaming site. There's no need to subscribe all services all the time.

Didn't know this was an option....how do you cancel through PayPal? Unfortunate that none of my current credit cards do virtual numbers

Why are people so literal with these responses... Sounded like Ash was trying to say it's better if the content would be consolidated on a few major services like Hulu and Netflix and just payingfor those, rather than us chasing content across so many providers.. We're ultimately paying too much by *needing* to subscribe to so many services that it's like we're spending just as much as we did before we cut the cord.. (thinking we'd save money) But honestly, realistically, we asked for a la carte services, and this is what we get....

Virtual card numbers are consumer friendly and merchant unfriendly, and we can't have nice things unfortunately.

That service sucks

Not only is there virtually nothing on there, but we went to watch the 2nd season of the Real World and in every 30 minute episode there were AT LEAST two commercial breaks that were 330 seconds long.

A minimum of 11 minutes of commercials, during 22 minutes of content, on a service I paid for.

Neither do mine. I use Privacy.com for my virtual cards.

Never happened to me, so I doubt it's on Paramount's end. Maybe your internet connection is too slow or your wi-fi router needs to be fixed/replaced. If other streaming services work perfectly, it could be that maybe Paramount+ uses more bandwidth or something.

PayPal has a virtual card option, but I think Andie is referring to just cancelling the payment agreement in your PayPal account after cancelling on the streaming service's website. Every time you subscribe to something with PayPal, you create an authorization for them to bill you monthly, but you can cancel that at any time.

You didn't say anything different than Ash did, and that's still a bad idea. Less competition and more bundling means higher prices and less user choice in what we pay for and what we can stream. There's no *need* to subscribe to so many services at once or spend nearly as much as we did with cable. The idea of a la carte is NOT to subscribe to everything at once, but just 2 or 3 at a time, binging the exclusives we like from them before moving on to the next.

If you like to pay a lot of money for a huge selection of content that you'll never be able to (or likely even want to) watch all of, cable is still very much alive and available for you.
