I used to buy a lot of shipping boxes (smaller, random sizes) from staples (brand: Coastwide professional) and over the last six months most have either doubled in price or been out of stock

Not at FHD. You definitely want higher resolution for work tasks. At this size you probably want 1440p, or at least 1920 x 1200.

Staples regularly sells 1440p monitors at this price or lower. They had a Philips 1440p model with usb type c docking for $119 over this past weekend before any coupons.

I'm looking to buy a UPS for my server which is on a Synology NAS, will this hold it off so it doesn't shut off if there is a power outage? I also want to put it on my modem and router.

Ha! Product specs shows the monitor as height of 6.2 inches - with stand! This must be some funky looking monitor.

Office work should be fine. I have 2 27" not this brand but 1080p FHD, using browser, office NO problem at all. The reason other said not recommending but request higher resolution was because upon close inspection the text may be a bit fuzzy. If you are not doing CAD drafting, or graphics design (pro), photo editing (pro) which requires very fine details, don't worry about it.
