I installed one of these yesterday for someone who went out and bought one. Picture quality was "normal" for a basic IPS display of that size. Monitor is super thin but the electronics are in a thicker part on the lower half along with the VESA mount, so be aware of that if you expect the VESA mount to be centered. It uses an AC adapter, and comes with an HDMI cable. The monitor stand is two piece. The vertical part takes 4 screws to attach to the back of the monitor, with a plastic bit to make it look sleek. The V base takes one screw to attach to the vertical part. These pieces are aluminum and feel pretty beefy, maybe cast. There's a cheap looking cable management clip that snaps on to the vertical piece.
tl;dr This monitor works fine and is perfectly functional at this price as a normal monitor.
Is the price difference between the two also night and day?
^After I wrote that but before I posted, I did a quick search here and the Element 32" hot deal was $140, and the 27" Apple Studio Display was $1300.

1080P at 27" isn't usually recommended. I would look out for a 1440P model. There's an LG 24" for $130 at higher refresh rate if you need a gaming monitor for a weaker GPU, as well.

It is recommend for people with bad eyes. 1080p on 27" > 1080p on 24"
"made in USA" only means that it's a least partly assembled here. Or in Mexico or Canada. Can be all foreign components. U.S. trade laws have deceptive descriptions.

I looked this up and that doesn't appear to be the case. A higher resolution is easier on the eyes. Regarding screen size:
"While it may be tempting if your eyes are bothering you to request a larger or even second monitor for work, thinking that a bigger viewing area will make things easier, the science actually shows making monitors larger or using multiple screen monitors is much more uncomfortable for the eyes."

As for the size, it depends on the working space and distance of the person to the monitor.
