I don't know if anyone else has been on the lookout for a mountain bike, but this one showed up in my searching and is the first one I've seen under $100 since before last spring. I don't know anything about the quality (It'll get here next week and I'll update with my wife's thoughts if this deal is still live).

I just finished a 20-mile ride with the bike this morning. I know it is heavy and so what? I am not racing with this bike. I use it to work out so when I upgrade it to a lightweight bike it will be a great experience.
Some youtube videos give this bike a low score during their reviews but they assembled the bike incorrectly. The brake brackets of the front wheel should be in front of the front fork, not behind it. So basically their front wheels are installed backwards.
