My 6-year-old likes donut county a lot. It's oddly satisfying. The gist of it is you start with a small hole and you let things (that fit )fall through it and as they go through the hole the hole gets bigger and bigger so that you can fit bigger items. There are game play variations later on but that's pretty much the game. Simple concept that really works.

Donut County is on Game Pass (both Xbox and PC) if you want to try before you buy.

As a 32 year old man I thoroughly enjoyed this game. My partner and I had a lot of fun passing the controller back and forth. Super simple, yet satisfying game.

UPDATE: It's better when looking at the thread.

That donut game was super fun. Funny storyline and good game mechanics. Great for kids or adults to pass time. Also note it's free with Gamepass.

donut county is a good choice for a 10 year old. it can be completed in 3-5 days for a light gamer so 1 month of game pass or $3.89 are good price points

So we have to guess which game in the list you're talking about?

Do we answer Jeopardy style?

Everyone is talking about donut county.

My 5 year old loves donut county and my 7 year old was entertained for a bit too. I had fun reading the humorous dialog between characters and I like the music as well. Considering the size of the team that developed this game I was very impressed with it... also free on game pass.

So... anything really stand out other than Donut Country?

I would assume he's talking about the game that's in the title of the post, Donut County.

Donut County is... alright. People here are over-hyping it I feel. I was able to beat it in about 2 hours so even at under $4 I don't know if it's worth the price for what you're getting considering how many great games are available for that price or less.

The gimmick, while unique, gets a little worn out after about half an hour. They try to mix it up a bit later in the game but it still never evolves beyond either swallow what you can at your current size or sit under something while other things activate.

Maybe I'm not in the right age range for it but I just think similar games like Katamari have a more puzzle-y gimmick that makes it more fun and has way more content.

My recommendations from this list are the Deus Ex games and/or Metro games. Can't go wrong with any of them although I would suggest playing each series in order. And you can grab all 4 games for about $20 which is a damn good deal for around 80 hours of solid fun.

It isn't always about you, princess. That's on you. I can multitask and maximize a window. Do I get a cookie for my Herculean effort? You get somebody who puts in some effort and someone like you still finds a way to whine about it.
