I've yet to come across an expired code from universal that didn't still work. If these are expired, most likely means it's a dual redeem code for MA in HD and iTunes, which will give you a 4K upgrade if available

I've redeemed 500+ codes into my collection and never had an expired code not work across Vudu, iTunes, MoviesAnywhere, Fandango, etc. a few years back I went through my existing bluray library, pulled all the slips and marathoned them into the computer. The only ones that didn't take were my oldest Blurays that had the included DVD with digital copy on it it separately inside the case (were talking 2006-2008 vintage lol).

Anyhow, figured I redeem everything going forward so as to keep a digital "backup" of my physical collection for the inevitable point that digital is the only method of distribution someday (and it's nice having access to my library when away from home). My preferred order of redemption to maximize availability of my titles in steaming services are as follows: MoviesAnywhere > Vudu > iTunes > FandangoNow cheers! **Oh, also if you're into Disney/Marvel/Star Wars/etc. make sure to also punch your digital codes into disneyinsider as well so you can get more free movies and other goodies. I was able to grab 5x free 4K films after putting all my old Blurays into there a couple years ago lol.

So just double checking, it comes with expired digital codes but they still work most of the time?

Clearly you have not watched Death Wish remade with Bruce Willis. I however can rewatch Peppermint any day.

I saw both. In theaters.

Death Wish was bad too, Peppermint was much worse.

At least Death Wish had that cool coffee table gun rack bit. And made a decent point about the conflicting emotions people have about vigilantes. And he made mistakes and got hurt as he was figuring things out. We got to see him build up his skill. There was an arc.

Peppermint, on the other hand was just a series of fight scenes with no character or story or stakes. If you want to watch Jennifer Garner do a bunch of overly choreographed fighting and shooting, watch Alias.

This was the entire movie:

1) Husband is doing shady stuff with drug dealers
2) Daughter and Husband gets killed in a driveby
3) Dumb court scene where they dont get convicted
4) [skip 5 years ahead]
5) She kills a series of unidentified Mexicans we dont know or care about for an hour
6) Movie ends with a heavyhanded setup for a sequel

Here's what should have happened:
1) Husband does shady stuff with drug dealers
2) Daughter and Husband gets killed in a driveby.
3) Spend 20 minutes of her grieving and going from sad to a angry as police slow walk things. Have her go to therapy and show it not working. Develop her character.
4) Have a serious court scene but imply that maybe police are crooked, maybe a juror is compromised. Leave some questions unanswered. Not guilty
5) Crushed. Short scene where she breaks down at home, screams in bathroom, then washes her face and looks into the mirror and you see a calm come over her
6) 20 minutes of her training and learning how to be a vigilante. We see her go from random woman to being an assassin. Instead of, like, just not doing that at all and suddenly she's a superhero. Maybe have a montage. Everyone loves a montage.
7) Kill a bunch of people
8) She gets killed by police right after killing the big bad guy. Because vigilantes should be allowed to get their revenge but not without consequences.

This means they're gonna pay you to take Peppermint off their hands, right?

Yeah, I mean, they should upgrade everybody to Priority Mail right? lol. like how much money do you expect them to lose on an order? You paid $6 for 2 discs as it is. You think shipping is free? Have you been to the post office in the, oh, last 20 years?

I had to Google that because I saw it in theaters and nowhere did it say "The Beginning" so I guess in certain territories it had that bit of extra on the title.

I'd love a sequel tbh. Can't have a beginning if there are no more lol
