Woot has the wood finished Amazon Basics Active Bookshelf Speakers 40W (Pair) for $25 [woot.com] (free ship for Prime members).

Originally released in February 2021 at $147 a pair, lowest Amazon price [amazon.com] was $52 since then.

Model: R28BTUS. These have an AUX line input (RCA connectors) and Bluetooth 5.0. No remote control. 2 Way with 4" woofer and dome tweeter. Bass/treble, and volume control. Headphone output on the side. Only a couple of reviews. It seems they automatically power off after some period of inactivity which could be very annoying if used as a TV speaker.

Still, quite cheap for an active 2 way wood speaker.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Yep, its a very popular form factor in Asia.

For those interested,

Here is the FCC ID link [fccid.io] with the owners manual, internal photos, and actual manufacturer, Fenda Technology.

They are also sold as the F&D Fenda R25BT [newbecca.com] by the OEM, The FCC ID says they are identical except for cosmetics. There are some non-english reviews/videos of the Fenda R25BT googleable. They look like the R25BT with the wood panels put on backwards Wink
Reading the few reviews, it appears they go into standby and won't come out of it without manual intervention(pressing a button), which would be very annoying quickly.
They kinda look like a half-hearted attempt to copy the style of some much better sounding speakers - Edifiers, Swans...

I've been looking for some cheap but decent computer speakers. The standby thing wouldn't be an issue since they'd be so close and not used very frequently. Might pull the trigger on these.

One of the images shows AC going into one of the speakers. I assume the other one's powered by connecting speaker cables to it from the powered speaker and if so are they included? I'll probably pass on this but just wondering how BT speakers work.

Tempted at this price, for streaming from a phone on the patio.

I have a pair of Edifiers for streaming music, upgraded to a Chromecast audio with optical cable from Bluetooth for better sound quality, expect these would have similar sound quality issues if bluetooth paired to a TV.

Probably not, just because of the standby issue the others mentioned. They'd be better than the TV's internal speakers otherwise.

I am sure the sleep thing will be annoying, but this is the right price for some new garage speakers. I want something a little louder than the Bluetooth speaker I have.

At $12.50 a speaker it's hard to complain even if you have to manually connect each time you use them! Where I am going to be using them taking them out of standby mode won't be a problem. Now if they dropped the bluetooth signal while using them then that would be an issue!

One of the speakers has a power amp built into it that powers both speakers.
