What an odd pc. One of AMD's newest APUs with a mid 2019 tech GPU. I don't see appeal.

That's comparing the 2060 vs 3060 not the 2060 super vs 3060.

I think this is a good price. Are the MB, PSU etc. standard or proprietary?

From the "total value" perspective (bang for the buck), if I'm willing to pay $1,000 to $1,400 total, what would you suggest I buy INSTEAD of this $1k PC?

My ONLY interest is VR gaming, and this is equal to a GTX 3060. Thanks for the help!!!

It appears that the greatest strength of this new Ryzen chip is the integrated graphics, but with a discrete graphics card, such as the 2060 Super that this one includes, you wouldn't be taking advantage of that feature set. As it compares to other plain CPUs, this one is good, but not incredible. https://www.tomshardware.com/news...00g-review

What is your time frame?

It's very possible GPU (and possibly CPU) will drop in price due to China banning cryptocurrency mining due to environmental concerns.

I couldn't say for sure + I'm just a random dude on the internet, but I think once we start getting tons of these post-mining cards to the US the market will saturate..

But if you need something ASAP then this ain't too bad.

Talk of "banning cryptocurrency" is naive at best, uninformed at worst. A government or two may ban certain behaviors, like mining en masse, or they may ban banks from working with certain exchanges, but crypto is not on the verge of getting "banned". Most articles about China or India cracking down on crypto are actually the same specific events from years ago, revisited over and over again, with clickbait headlines. Most everything else is someone in a position of power saying that something should happen. Are governments famously fast? People need to stop trotting out this hopeful milestone like it's actually going to happen. It's not going to happen, at least not in the next 18 months, and certainly not on a global scale.

Will crypto get more or less popular, or will mining difficulty get easier or harder? These are the actual crypto milestones on the horizon which will affect GPU prices. All-told, though, the biggest factor for chip prices is not crypto, it's chip shortages due to impact of the pandemic on manufacturing.

Anyway, it's probably worth mentioning that this ROG Strix build that has been on the front page recently briefly came back for preorder today. At ~$800 more than this build, it might be a smarter investment for some with a more powerful CPU and GPU: https://slickdeals.net/f/15166519-rog-strix-ga15dk-gaming-desktop-pc-amd-ryzen-7-5800x-geforce-rtx-3070-16gb-ddr4-ram-512gb-ssd-1tb-hdd-wi-fi-5-windows-10-home-ga15dk-as776-1699-99#commentsBox

For $1K cause of this craziness that's not a bad price unfortunately. The CPU is solid, but you can tell they pieced it together from older parts Mobo only being Wifi 5 and the 2060 Super instead of a 3K series card.

Depending on the PSU in there can always upgrade in the future to a better card.

Also 6% back with a well known cashback site and browser addon.

This might almost be worth pulling the 2060, selling it; and using the 5700g. What PSU is in it? Is it dedicated like many manufactures like to put in their units? How about the MB?
