At this point, a mask that isn't counterfeit is a good thing. This isn't all that much more at $1.79 each than in 2019

It sounds like we are going to need masks again. Time to load up.

Reasonable price for good mask. Perfect for lung protection against fine dust from wood sanding etc.

If using this for the virus, don't N95 need to be fitted while KN95 don't need to be? Thanks for anyone who can clear this up.

I've tried these and they are cheap/uncomfortable. You can get a box of 3M masks at Home Depot that are much higher quality for not much more.

Preferably all masks should be fit tested at if you expect them to be very efficacious. The kn95 is just a different (not American) standard. That being said if prefer a papr>elastomeric respirator>n95>kn>surgical mask>cloth masks. There are cloth masks that have some validation testing but you have to go out and find them. 3m has a nice chart showing difference in efficacy. My opinion is not medical advice but I am a intensive care physician (with a distant history as a chemical engineer). I wear a minimum of a surgical mask indoors (and have been fully vaccinated since January).

Edited for papr not paper

Thanks so much for this info. Didn't know KN95 needs to be fit tested. I don't really have access to a way to get tested but will make sure as best possible if these have leaks on my face.

I wouldn't worry much about fit testing. Wear a high quality mask. Don't touch your face or eyes. Change the mask every 1-2 days. Stay out of large crowds and avoid high risk situations. Consider eye protection for higher risk situations. And duh, get vaccinated
