Are you a gamer? The only really nice upgrade the C1 brings to the table is the new gaming center. Otherwise, both TVs are pretty much identical. The CX is reportedly a smidge brighter, while the C1 is reportedly a smidge sharper (better motion handling) due to the new processor. Most people will tell you that the differences are hardly noticeable. I pulled the trigger on the CX 77" and have been extremely happy with it even though I'm a huge gamer.

I should also point out that there is a panel lottery where you "might" end up with the new EVO panel exclusive to the G1 on a C1. But that is a huge ymmv.

GX went on sale for like $100-$200 more, would it be worth going with GX instead? Assuming both in stock

Called Best Buy, and they price matched it no problem. I added the 5 year plan on so it was roughly $2300 out the door. Thanks OP for posting this!

I bought the refurbished model with 3 year screen protection for less than this. If it breaks, messes up, screen burn, they give you the full value back on a gift card that you can spend on the same tv or whatever tv is out at the time. Also had 0 hours on the display when I took it home. They also have a first responders discount if you show your ID that can make it even cheaper.

Nice! What a deal! I have the 65" C1 now, but it's going back since I was able to get the LG CX from this deal. I like the motion a lot better on the C1, but I'll have the Best Buy warranty and Citi Extended warranty for seven years. I believe the gaming optimizer feature is coming to the CX as well. Enjoy!

I got in on the refurb w/3 year warranty I was lucky it had 0 hours on it, the salesman said sometimes they are new units that fail the initial factory test during assembly, and are separated and retested & serviced if needed but cannot be sold as new.

Now if I could just figure out how to setup the picture on this thing there are lots of YouTube videos with so many different suggestions, I just want to watch live tv, sports and movies.

So uh I just called BB and asked if I could get the price match… they gave me the refurbished price. Just paid $1,491 after tax for a new 65CXPUA with free shipping.

I just asked if I could price match with micro center and the guy said "let me pull it up." He then said "I'm seeing 1,399, I can do that." I was just like uh ok, thanks. Didn't know until after I paid that it was the refurbished price.
