True, but short are great for certain applications.
I for one can use both the 1.5' to go from laptop to 2nd monitor and the 3' for my blu-ray player and game systems going into my soundbar, which are stacked right below it in my entertainment center.
Love getting rid of the clutter of extraneous cabling.
These are kinda short

Is 18 Gbps good enough for most connections of devices to a TV running 4K?

Got these effectively as freebies for some stuff I needed which weren't free shipping. The $3 shipping credit I get from this cancels out what I would have paid for shipping some small items I needed. Those small items are sold at ridiculous prices outside Monoprice. So, it is a win overall.

So, indirectly a good deal.

18 Gbps should be good for 4K HDR @ 60 fps. 48 Gbps is for 8K or 120 fps and support only started last year.

Ordered 5 pack @ 3 feet for $6.36 free ship. Why not. I ordered 6ft (3 pack) Amazon Basics (18 Gbps, 4K/60Hz) for $12ish. The Amazon cables worked where others I had purchased in the past (Ultra somethings). Man my Apple TV 4K (old style) was freaking out with the Ultras (popping and static haze). Amazon's worked well!.

As someone stated - 3 ft would well in most cases where devices are close to target (i.e monitor/xbox etc...).

Thanks OP

Need 25' HDMI 2.1 48GBps cables preferably active since this is getting lengthy. Bought one at Walmart 2 years ago now they have their own crappy Onn versions that only 18GBps.

No. The certification costs money and so budget cables don't usually have it. Whether they would have passed certification is anybody's guess.

For short runs like these, there should be no problems unles the cables are really bad.
