I've been going through a bag from the last deal and I find these beans to be perfectly acceptable for my morning latte. I can't personally tell much difference from lavazza super crema, but YMMV.

I'm in for two more bags and I'll vaccum seal and freeze half-bag portions. Thanks OP!

The fresh beans from Peet's store are great (but double the price), unfortunately when it comes to espresso it's all about roasting date if you want a good taste and crema. Picked a bag to taste

Come on... that is 3x as expensive as this post. $11 for 12oz, vs $9 for 32oz

Yeah, but old espresso vs. fresh espresso are 2 totally different things.

Where do they list best buy date? Never seen amazon list it, but would take guess work out of ordering products from amazon as too often they are too close to best buy date

These are usually good for 6 months, so this is probably a month or 2 old. Just to give you an idea of my past experiences.

Is it real Blue Bottle coffee?
How does this seller sell new Blue Bottle brand coffee for about half price of retail? Makes me have doubts.

Never used this but I assume its over roasted and oily for espresso machines. please let me know if that's not the case.

How oily are these beans? I have a superautomatic, and it's recommended not to use oily beans. Thanks

Could be a combination of:
  • Buying wholesale
  • No B&M costs
  • Slimmer profit margins
  • Violating min. price clause of retailer contract with Blue Bottle
  • Skipping taxes

The reviews seem to confirm. I previously used to order from blue bottle, but switch to this and i don't have any doubts. You could buy one from BB and ebay and compare if you want to be sure, but based on what I've recieved it's the same quality.
