Need help deciding please. I currently have 2 active orders (will keep whichever ships first and cancel the other). Note that I have a Razer eGPU, and so ordered Legion 7i first with the hope of having it future proofed. But, I also ordered Legion 5 AMD Premium 2 days ago as I took advantage of the glitchy coupon, and now a bit confused as to whether the extra 1000 bucks on a L7i is worth or not. Appreciate all of your feedbacks. Thank you.

(1) Legion 7i Gen 6 16" Intel - $2024 (before taxes), expected to arrive Aug 18th
  • 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) IPS, antiglare, 500 nits, 16:10, 165Hz, 3ms, 100% sRGB, VESA DisplayHDR™ 400 certified, Dolby Vision support, G-SYNC
  • i7-11800H
  • RTX 3070 (140W)
  • 32GB Ram
  • 1TB SSD
  • RGB keyboard
  • 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports
(2) Legion 5 Gen 6 17" AMD Premium - $1110 (before taxes), expected to arrive Nov 22nd!
  • 17.3" FHD IPS (1920 x 1080) 144Hz refresh rate, 72% NTSC, 300 nits, Dolby Vision™ enabled, AMD FreeSync™ Premium
  • Ryzen 7 5800H
  • RTX 3070 (130W)
  • 16GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD
  • No RGB keyboard (just a regular backlight one)
  • No Thunderbolt support

I agree, the biggest difference seems to be the screens. Not sure that is worth a 1K difference. Especially if your laptop will be more stationary, you could just use an external monitor.

Also see the Nov 30 ship date for my Legion 5 Pro order. Really blows up my plan because I have an Amex offer for 15% off up to $100 on two cards and split the charge across those two. Unfortunately those offers expire September 28. Really hoping it ships before then to get the $200 off and make this deal truly epic.

With the update shipping date, does that mean that the orders are going through?

Probably, it wouldn't let you purchase below the floor limit so they are either breaking even or profitable on these

Anyone find if the ram is soldered or user upgradeable?

Also, can anyone list the differences between this and the Pro (same specs)?
Seems that the pro can reach slightly higher watts in performance. And major difference is the appearance and screen. Pro is 16:10 screen with 2k resolution and 500nits brightness, 165HZ refresh rate.
