Well congrats to those who are getting their Stingray version! I almost chose that color but then thought it would surely be less popular and probably less likely to be built. Didn't even notice the initial shipping delay! Hopefully timings will change for those of us with orders still in!

Congrats to everyone who had their order shipped. Unfortunately, if the delivery date on mine stays at December 7th over this next week, I'm out. While the price is great, I was also looking for something that would ship in a reasonable amount of time (and not be over six months old by the time I receive it).

Cant we speak to customer service to change the color alone for our order? Doing this doesn't hurt than cancelling itself I suppose

Yeah, that didn't work. They told me to cancel the order and re-order it myself.

I don't think it's worth it. Might mess up your coupon.

Crap, I was debating whether to get legion 5 pro or legion 5 17". Ended up grabbing both. lp5 pro for myself and legion 5 17" for family. I rushed to get my order through because I took too long to decide and missed upgrading to rgb keyboard for free option...(just saw everyone saying to upgrade ram, gpu, and storage for coupon) got only the white keyboard. I also assumed rgb was included. sigh, not too familiar with lenovo customization. And now it is delayed to dec. I also should have gone for the stingray white color. That looks unique/nice and already shipped...Totally want to try to slip in as early as possible with minimal risk of things in my order that raise red flags since I thought this will be cancelled...

I do have the walmart L5p for $1530+tax. Today is last day to return. I guess I will open & check for dead pixels and use it. there is still a chance lenovo orders can get cancelled. Since walmart is a good price, I can either: 1) give to friend (he trust my use)/sell to others for hopefully minimum lose in future, 2) cancel/return one of the lenovo order in the future (since the wait is so long...) & give my walmart l5p to family member (they want a new laptop. They currently have a older desktop and can wait for a good price)...

There was no way to know they would ship the stingray color early. When configuring the laptop it said the white color would take 3 months while the black would take 10-14 days. The total opposite ended up being true.

But I still believe the shipping dates might change in the coming week. Need to wait and see

Candidly- if stingray was originally 3 months vs 10-14 days and then storm grey magically gets blasted out seven months in the future, I would say that the dates are all very likely to change as the weeks go on. HODL.

I think what happened is everyone bought the storm grey (since that was default and sooner shipping date equals less likely to be cancelled) so the manufacturing got pushed back. While lenovo probably updated their stingray to earlier time.
