Still a bit torn on the L5pro $350 upcharge over the L5 17, esp if the 17 does come with 1 tb ssd and the additional 512 gb SSD. Sure, an extra 16 gb is nice and I guess the screen and I think advanced thermals etc but it's also a 30ish percent increase whereas the core of the computer at GPU and CPU are the same... The smaller form factor and transportability is def nicer though and cashback helps whittle down the price gap some. Who knows. As others have said, can make a nice chunk of change for the 3070

I have a $1530 Walmart L5P coming in today but going to return it for Lenovo's $1600 deal. $70 extra to upgrade the SSD from 512GB to 1TB and RAM from 16GB to 32GB (plus these parts will be covered under Lenovo warranty, unlike the third-party add-ons I ordered). Expected ship date 8/16.
I already bought 32GB Crucial RAM and a Samsung 980 1TB for the Walmart L5P. Returning the RAM but keeping the 1TB as a secondary drive.
Hyped to have my first gaming laptop. Coming from a 2014 15" MBP ^^
