That thought came to me as well. Isn't it ridiculous? $600 handheld and we are thinking of playing 12 bit games on it. What time to be alive!
B,a, Select, start
You forgot select
U had to put in select for the code to work. I always played 1 user
12 bit? LoL
Currently, the games work and are fully completable. All achievements works (although both games have buggy achievements, but that is the same on Windows).
On Linux there are two issues. Occasionally, when opening the settings menu you will get a dialog box loop that displays a Japanese character, which force you to have to exit the game. The other issue is that save states do not work. They will crash the game. While this is inconvenient, you just have to make sure to beat the game in one sitting or use the old-school password system that the games have.
Valve is claiming that all games will be playable by the time the Steam Deck is released. Not sure if these issues will all be fixed, though.

Wish game developers would put more time and effort into these classic collections, but I think they are mostly just trying to make a quick buck with selling old/classic games of theirs to a new audience or people looking for some nostalgia. Again though, it's not every game, some are ported great and run silky smooth with no problems.

To be fair, a lot of Neo Geo games run badly on original hardware. So that could be good emulation lol
Both versions are very difficult games.
