I feel like you should put refurbished in the title.

LOL
"Brand: White Label"

This is a weird hard drive. Even the photo looks like something you would download from shutterstock. Not sure I would feel comfortable getting support for this drive.

See this same drive all over eBay... I feel like they're factory rejects.

Bought 2 of these with my Costco Citi card, so hoping that gives me some sort of warranty. We'll see!

Pretty sure all CC protections are for new products only, I've not seen a card that covers used / refurbished etc. products.

And no amount of CC protections will cover data loss.

That's the point of running RAID.

Just curious why all the down votes? Price per TB is pretty darn good. Same deal as buying a refurb tech product. A certain amount of risk is implied.

Ok buying a refurb hard drive is the exact same as buying any other refurb tech product...

Keep wondering why all the down votes. Ha ha

I'd be hesitant with these drives unless I bought enough of them to use in a Raid 5 or 6 setup.

Down votes are for alerting people of a deal before "refurbished" was added... I bought a couple similar refurbished 4tb drives a few years ago, put in raid.. never had a problem. This isn't normally a good price for refurbished but I dont think hard drive prices will get any better until Thanksgiving

Refurbished or Renewed in harddisk means the collection and reassembling of only the intact of several broken products.

When I buy most refurb electronics, the biggest risk is the money I spent on the product. When you buy a refurb hard drive, you risk the money you spent on the product, which is nothing compared to the time you spend rebuilding your data. At that point, you would pay five times the value of the drive to get your data back.
