I have a few sets of this brand and really like them but they don't nest and store very easily. Takes up a lot of storage room. I don't have these particular sets but looking at them--if they are the same size they won't nest. I use mine for soups and leftovers.
As harsh as that might sound it's spot on. I just got these from the last deal and unless you need a lot of small containers for snacks or whatnot you're left with 2 that can store a full meal, one slightly smaller one and the two of the taller ones are good for soups. The rest is just filler for me.
Doesn't look like a good deal. A lot of small useless containers which will sit empty for eternity. So you're paying an already inflated price for maybe 3 useable pieces.

Agreed. 9.6 , 4.7, and 3.2 cup Rubbermaid Brilliance are the size I use most. Keeps my annual fall crop of organic nuts, seeds, dried fruit fresh for months in the fridge. Raw and cooked meat, fresh slaw, florets, carrots and cooled leftovers and for freezing. Only need a few 1.3 and 0.5 cup. If I microwaved then I'd get the glass ones.

For produce Rubbermaid commercial food pans last a lifetime have a food release finish do not stain and are made in U.SA. Perfect for certain produce that needs to breath. Dimensions are standardized with the 1/3 and 1/2 width being popular for home use. Rubbermaid FG118P00CLR , 1/3 pan x 6" deep is good for preserving bulky produce like romaine in smaller refrigerators. I'm amazed at how these extend life and freshness of the produce and of everything else in the fridge by reducing mold and controlling humidity. Isolating ethylene producing fruits and vegetables from those sensitive to it leads to dramatically less spoilage and longer life.

These deal items look similar to Rubbermaid Snapware which is at least made in U.S.A. and do nest. Any who desire this light weight style should compare to Macy's 20 pc Snapware with generous capacity but beware that even the Snapware is cheap plastic that breaks including the latches, stains and absorbs odors. Hard to imagine that this imported "deal" set is any better. Brilliance also stacks well has an air liquid tight seal, can vent, and does not break. These light duty containers are probably best used for travel or perhaps cupboard storage.

For $5 more than the 24 piece plastic set in this post you can get glass at Sam's Club:

Unfortunately the description online does not list the sizes.

I was about to get a few sets of these but there are tons of reviews on Amazon about long glass shards coming loose and ending up in food or cutting people

is there any glass containers?

Costco gets the glass ones on and off. Ask them when they'll get it next at the front desk.

I wonder if these are good for kids lunchboxes. I swear every time kiddo leaves home, she gets on a roller coaster to school. Everything is topsy turvy.

These containers don't nest and stack in themselves, they are a pain in the ass to store.

Yes, there are such reports on Amazon, but I would not characterize them a "tons of".

The set at Sam's Club has 3255 reviews, avg. rating of 4.7/5.
Most of the complaints are about the lids.

There is an interesting answer to someone who wrote in that the glass shattered (the only such complaint I could find):
"As with all glass bakeware, these cannot be placed on a hard surface when they are oven-hot. They are to be placed on towels or potholders or some other heat-distributing soft surface. "

Also, I found the list of what sizes are included in the set:

Set includes:
One square 0.6 cup container with lid
Two square 1.7 cup containers with lids
Two square 3.8 cup containers with lids
One square 7.0 cup container with lid
One rectangle 0.6 cup container with lid
Two rectangle 2.0 cup containers with lids
Two rectangle 4.1 cup containers with lids
One rectangle 7.3 cup container with lids
Four-latch polypropylene lids
Clear design makes it convenient to identify the contents
Made from all natural, environmentally friendly materials
BPA free and recyclable
Removable silicone seal for easy cleaning

I agree with you. It might not be a significant percentage, but worrying about the possibility of eating glass everytime we eat is not something I want to worry about specially with children around

I understand. Would probably feel the same if I had small children around.

However, all glass is prone to breakage, shattering, chipping. By that token one would drink wine out of plastic cups, and so on.

If you can't microwave food in them, they suck and are useless
